Just had a question before I get the 3.5 demo and see how it goes, how does it work on your phone?

Is it akin to Throttle Launcher where it shows up as an option on your today screen setting? And if you choose it, it just boots up with it?

Or does it affect any registries in order to work?

I know, search/google is my friend, but I couldn't find anything.

(I seriously considered titling this thread "how sbp work? how phone get shehll?". Probably best I did not :( )

Thanks guys

Works fine on mine, just give it a try: if you don't like it you can always uninstall it :(

It's not a today screen item, it just "covers" it and you can anytime close the shell and go to the today screen if you need it, or even show the today screen by temporarily "hiding" the shell.

it works like a very complicated lockscreen.

It doesn't show up as a Today option - you can't check/uncheck it on the today item's menu, and you can still switch to the normal MS today screen from within it. It's more like a wrapper. It works very well and smoothly.

Sense is much prettier with more function, but is slower on the O2 (so far). Oddly, SPB uses more ram, leaving less for other programs. It's not as attractive as Sense, or IMO as useful, but it does work buttery smooth. However, you're going to run into ram issues with fewer apps going.

Thanks very much guys, I'm running the demo right now. So far I like it a lot. Soooo better than touchwiz, and you can do more with it than the native 6.5 homescreen.

You'd have to flash it to get Sense wouldn't you? I'm sure I'll do that at some point, but right now I'm too worried about bricking it.

I haven't really noticed anything slowing down yet. But I did check my RAM and yeah it's using like as much as Touchwiz does. Although, it bypasses the Samsung threaded SMS and just uses the Windows one so that part has actually sped up like 75%. Just on that alone I'm almost ready to buy. I text frequently enough, moreso just back and forth with my wife throughout the day. My job is very busy so I don't have time to click SMS and wait 30 seconds for it to sluggishly saunter over to it.

Sorry for the followup, but are there any suggested tweaks for mobile shell? I saw that MSkip one, seems a little complicated though.

For example, if I just dl'd and installed this cab, would it show up as a choosable theme in spb?

-edit-

And this page is dedicated to 3.0, will it all work with 3.5? xda spb 3.0 overview page

Sorry for all the dumb questions, the last time I programmed stuff I was using QBasic 4.5, I'm a little out of the loop :(

You could try mine if you want: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=689087 :(

If you're looking for 3.5.x dedicated thread on xda, here's the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=566045
