A custom taskbar that actually works...

I've tried every custom taskbar out there, and NONE of them work correctly. They either dont show any icons at all, or don't show all the icons correctly (eg. The connection icon doesn't change). Can anyone tell me why they're not working? And by the way, I do have sdk certs 2010 installed.

can you give us a screenshot of what your talking about? I know where the taskbar icons are located, just need to know why you aren't able to get the ones you want... working.

well, I'm just as lost as you are as to why they won't show up. I'll get a screenshot up later, I'm kinda busy today.

that's not quite what I'm looking for... I don't even have winmo 6.5.3. I'm talking about the icons.

Hi all,

I have a similar problem,maybe.

I tried to create my own taskbar by instruction on XDA, so I made following:

1) extract shellres.192.dll with Rom_extractor.exe

2) In PC, I remove certificate with unsigner.exe, but it didn´t have one. So I continue

3) replace icons in shellres.192.dll with ResourceHacker and save it

4) sign the file with mssigner.exe downloaded from here:

5) copy this modified file back to my PDA and replace the original one in Windows folder. But there is a problem. After a softreset, my tastbar icons disapear and my Today screen get freezed. So I can´t do anything.

I forgot to say, that I installed this certificates and resetted device before this process.

Does anyone know, what I do wrong?

This procedure works for editing another files, for example officeres.dll and pptres.dll. So it´s realy strange.
