Can a custom rom give these options?

Hey all,

I am using the ATT Captivate version on the GALAXY S...whenever we get custom roms going will it be possible to get wireless tethering on one of the roms even thought ATT might disable it? As of right now there is no wireless tethering on my Captivate becauses its not on Android 2.2 and I am wondering if they will remove it when Froyo comes out! Hopefully custom roms can make it happen reguardless...

Secondly, since ATT blocks installing apps from other sources than the market will roms make it possible to install whatever we want?

I am hoping roms will get rid of ATT bloatware/give wireless tethering/and make it where we can install whatever apps however we want without having to sideload.
