Hi,

do anyone know if there is a widget/shortcut that can be placed on the screen to lock up the phone ???

The settlement of the galaxy's lock button is not convienient for me, and a kind of shortcut on the main screen would make my life easier!! :)

There are several in the Market, just search for "lock widget". I didn't like the way the two I tested worked, but your mileage may vary there.

I created Screen Off as a convenient alternative to your power button for turning your screen off to save battery. Screen Off locks your screen and puts your phone to sleep as quickly as possible.

Screen Off does not immediately turn off your screen. For security reasons Android does not let applications sleep your phone. This does the next best thing and makes sure your phone goes to sleep as quickly as possible without you accidentially pressing anything on your touch screen.
