Thanks guys! For russian users it really rocks, because contact managers sorts contacts by letters (and I can quickly scroll by them).

USB tethering is in "Settings" then "Wireless & network settings" and one of the options on your menu should be "Tethering & portable hotspot"

+1 for tethering not working. I am using USB and nothing happens. Wireless does not work either. But I still love the rom, so I think I will use something like EasyTether or PdaNet meanwhile

Hello everybody, I want to add BT is correctly running both ways with normal system app.. I had prob. with BTFTransfer not pairing with other device.

Only ( minor ) prob. is charging led not working at all ( regardless it is via wall charger or usb to pc ).

I run a S 100 .

Regards

Edit:: connected to and from N 95 8gb, BUT have'nt been able to even detect BT headphones , tried also DSP settings.

In case you didn't notice, Xian LiquidF v1 IS Froyo, but whatever. ;) When I'm back I'll rebase on 6.0 Final.

Things are getting better, but I still have things to take care of.

Xian LiquidF v1 -> CyanogenMod Froyo

Phhroyo -> Froyo FRF91

Nice to know you're doing well, Xian.

For everyone who's been experiencing problems with Barcode Scanner or any other app that uses the Camera, phhusson fixed the issue in the latest Phhroyo. Sadly, it doesn't fix FC's for Google Goggles.

Because the Phhroyo update zip also contain other changes that break some of Xian LiquidF's features, I extracted the stuff that only changes the camera (thankfully, Xian LiquidF uses the same Camera libraries as Phhroyo) and assembled a separate zip. Flash without sign check in recovery, and make sure to do a nandroid backup first in case something goes wrong!

Xian (LiquidF) v1 ROM (camera fix)

PS. I also included the updated lights.salsa.so. I haven't experienced any of the random rebooting that is supposed to be caused by the previous version, but seeing as it didn't seem to break anything for me, I included it as well for good measure.

Yeah, I just tested in Goggles, and it seems like the Goggles FC's aren't the same ones that caused the Barcode Scanner FC's. ;) Will edit the previous post.

One quick noob question, pls dont shoot! On 1.100.09 at the moment and just about ready to flash Xian v.1 CyanogedMod. In case that i want to do so, how do i flash back to 1.100.09 or the new 2.100.07.EMEA.GEN1? Do I just use the acer installer as if i was simply flashing a stock ROM? Thanx for any reply

Has anyone got problems downloading apps from the market? flashed Xian v.1 cyanogenmod over 1.100.09 GEN1 and im getting download unsuccessful for any app i try to download. Have to say that when on stock .09 i still had problems downloading from the market but after a 2-3 times it managed to download.. And as asked before.. Is it ok to just use the Acer installer to flash the newest ROM?? Pls guys a bit of help.. Thanx in advance

Edit: The situation is that, i need to flash the GPS-USB fix but.. Even though i can download it from the phone's browser i cannot put the zip in the SDcard's root because there is now file explorer on the phone and i cannot download one from the market (see abobe). Also, since the USB seems to have problems as well i cannot access the contents of the SDcard via the PC, so i cannot push the zip file on the SDcard this way either. And when the phone connects with the PC i get loads of 'New Hardware Found' so i suppose i cannot just flash a stock ROM over this one... Just a big mess, im afraid i should have waited for the official 2.2 (if this ever comes) because i dont seem to be able to handle all this with my '0' knowledge on the field.. Any way, if someone here thinks that can help me out, hes more than welcome....

You just need to flash the stock bin with the acer tool if you don't want this rom anymore.

Hi Gryx, thanks a lot for the reply. When u say the acer tool do u mean the standard installer that comes with all stock ROMs?

Try this:

Go to recovery

Plug in USB to PC

Select "USB Mass Storage Toggle"

PC should be able to see SD Card and you can move the file there.

I don't know if that would work with Cyanogen. Worth trying. If it does not work, then try this:

I am assuming your Acer Liquid A1 drivers are installed. Also, this is for Windows boxes only. Also make sure your battery is at least 80% (recommended is 50%, better safe than sorry).

1) Download a stock .bin file. I recommend 2.100.07 EMEA.GEN1 as it has highest baseband available (it is on the Acer Liquid E site but works with Liquid A1), you can get the .bin here- http://www.multiupload.com/WSR0BPMK95

2) Download this Acer Download Tool- http://www.megaupload.com/?d=EF2QNANO

3) Unpack the Acer A1 Tool and run Acer Download Tool (For Vista/Win7, right click and Run As Administrator)

4) Click "Browse" and find that .bin file you downloaded. You might get an "Image Incorrect" error and/or "MD5 Fail." IGNORE THAT and click the Start button

And DO NOT interrupt the process. Do not even touch the phone until the tool says "You May Unplug USB" (phone should be booted into Éclair when it says this).

If anything does go wrong (I have done this many times and nothing ever has), USB can be unplugged/replugged (though it says it cannot), BUT PHONE CAN NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BE TURNED OFF. This is only in extreme circumstances is nothing is happening for a long period of time (slightly risky but most people here have done it many many times and there have only been a very low # of cases going bad).

Hi HustlinDaily, thanx very much for ur reply, that did the job! Still cannot download anything from the market though, have no idea why! When i go to maps (that thanx to u now works) i get a login failed balloon when it starts. Maybe this has something to do with the fact that i cannot download from the market? Let me know if u think of something.. Thanx a lot again ;)
