Guest Ramdanih Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 I'd like to see the liquid on this table. ;) Official CyanogenMod Device / Release List you should join the official team now? +1
Guest willyaranda Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 Stop spamming, we all want to see the Liquid there, but we need people to maintain the tree. Could be Xian for example, but he's busy with other things, let him to recover and see if he (or other people!) could do that.
Guest K.L.Maxwell Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 I'm not an expert so I didn't really understand what this package is about... Is it a sort of unofficial upgrade to Froyo with some mods?

Guest K.L.Maxwell Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 Thanks for the answer  So, referring to the first post, what is the difference among AOSP Froyo, FRF91, AOSP Eclair and this ROM? (I don't really know what are the peculiarities of each of these four)
Guest nameless' Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 (Somebody will correct me / add things if needed ;)) AOSP --> Android Open-Source Project : An ASOP rom is built from the Android's sources, so there isn't any customization at all, it's a pure Android build. FRF91 was one of the first Froyo ROM update for the Nexus one. It has been ported to liquid by Phhusson, and is the base of a lot of froyo roms around here So, AOSP Froyo is the Android Froyo build from the sources, same thing for Eclair, and this rom is just Cyanogen mod (which is all explained in the link before  for the Liquid. Hope you understood :(

(I don't really know what are the peculiarities of each of these four) I'm not an expert but… FRF91 is the latest release from Google to the Nexus One, that is, like our official ROMs from ACER. (Pphroyo is based on this, so phh took this release to port it to our liquids) AOSP (both Froyo 2.2 and Eclair 2.1) are the free and sources from Android. (Android Open Source Project), and Cyanogenmod is based on this (with changes to software and so on). So CyanogenMod compiles the free Froyo (or Eclair) for every device it supports. At this momment, Liquid is not officially supported, but as you can see, Xian is doing a great job compiling for our devices. Hope this helps

I thought it was just Google Apps that they added. because at the beggining we didn't have the kernel sources to compile AOSP without problems so it was easy (or not, i dont know) or maybe just working if they took the binaries from nexus and copy to our liquids. FRF91 is the name of the ROM based on AOSP that google distributes for Nexus 1, but I think it's just AOSP with Google private bits
Guest K.L.Maxwell Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 (edited) Thanks for the info! I've flashed it, the first impression is good! ;) The Rom is full of customization options, i'll spend some time to go through them all :( Up until now, there just a few small problems... Maybe it has already been pointed out: haptic feedback isn't working. I also noticed that some options under settings/cyanogenmod/user interface do not work (like showing pm-am, hiding the time, hiding the provider and stuff like that). Not that this last one is a huge thing, just whther it's normal they don't work (known bug) or if it's me doing something in the wrong way... Edited September 3, 2010 by K.L.Maxwell
Guest Alexzandro Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 (edited) Thanks for the info! Note that some changes are applyed after reboot. Must add that I encountered two / three FC followed by reboot when turning off WIFI after web browsing. Didn't happened all the times, tho. Still studying BT , I have seen there is also a BT option during a call, but I had no occasion to test as for now. For the rest, after installing SETCPU in autodetect mode and overclocking to 921600, only the best and ever seen speeeeeed!!!!, EDIT and I should add a little less battery consumption / heating when working with FLASH sites / video . Regards Edited September 3, 2010 by Alexzandro

Regards bt is working fine for me, it works with my car kit also wich didn't happen with any 2.1 android (it was working with 1.6). i've installed this rom over 2.100.17 gen1 rom recently leaked
Guest Alexzandro Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 So maybe the new RADIO in 2.100.17 rocks, at least for BT working !!
Guest Ares85 Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 So maybe the new RADIO in 2.100.17 rocks, at least for BT working !! I've installed this rom over 2.100.17 gen1 rom recently leaked and it works fine. I've some problems: the aptic feedback doesn't work, now my Liquid consumes too much battery: I used it for 1 hour to configure it and the battery decreased by twenty percent, the brightness sensor doesn't work or I don't know to configure it. Anyone has the same problems? Does this ROM overclock the CPU? If yes, what should I do to restore the original clock? Ps sorry for my English!
Guest HustlinDaily Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 Does this ROM overclock the CPU? If yes, what should I do to restore the original clock? It includes an overclock kernel but is set at speed of 768MHz. Use SetCPU to overclock/underclock.
Guest yogsoth Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 hello guys i'm new :P) i have successfully flashed my liquid with the CYANOGEN mod but.. how to install the bugfix?
Guest Quipeace Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 hello guys i'm new :P) i have successfully flashed my liquid with the CYANOGEN mod but.. how to install the bugfix? Just like you flashed the full rom :)

Guest KeruDoitsu Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 Hey xian, your LiquidF rom cyanogen mod based is pretty awesome! But I couldn't keep it on my liquid because of the stk.apk (sim toolkit application). Like someone in this looong thread, I'm using a Dual sim adapter (Magic Dual Sim). All eclair roms I've tried give me no problems with it, indeed I can switch between the two sim without any troubles, just using the stk application's menu. The problems start with froyo builds: precisely with FRF91 by phh I see no stk applications in the main menu, in yours, instead, I have the classic stk menu (like in eclair official and custom builds) but when I try to change sim (via menu, tapping "sim2" or "sim1") the applications freezes and does nothing. Do you know why? Any fixes or scripts or something else I could try to make it run? I know this post is boring but pls, I need it so much :P Thanks for any helps. (the question's answered to any other who could have advices to giuve ^^ ) (srry for my bad english)

So maybe try providing some logs while trying to switch sims for example. This might be useful.

If you tell me which or what kind of logs, I'll be glad to provide those =) Is there any files to specifically provide here? Eclair builds don't cause any problems, I've noticed .o.
