Guest Sewpra Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 I didn't update the radio yet, but I did flash the new LiquidF ROM and I now have an infinite boot, I downloaded the alternate image for solution, but now I can not power off the device and don't know what method I should use to enter Recovery, any help greatly appreciated, thanks guys.
Guest Sewpra Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 (edited) Ok now I am slightly worried lol, I tried using the button combo to boot into Recovery, and I have a recovery type screen stuck displaying "Partition checksum spash1 chksum =8ba9da08 OK" then three lines of read text corresponding with boot, recovery, and system, all "FAIL" with a fourth line also displaying "FAIL". EDIT: Did a battery pull and the button combo another time, I got it booted into Recovery now, I just need to transfer the alt image.zip to the phone and try flashing that. EDIT: Ok so now I've gotten stuck, I flashed the first alt img to solve the boot loop, rebooted after, and now I still have a boot loop. Xian I tried to grab your second alternative boot loop img, but the link no longer seems to work? Edited September 15, 2010 by Sewpra
Guest Sewpra Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 (edited) This infinite boot loop is very persistent, I can not get rid of it. I'm assuming I need that 3rd alternate img which is not linked properly? EDIT: Fixed, I think, I used some sort of Froyo91 3.3 Fix img, flashed that and it fixed it, if anyone could confirm for me that I made the right choice doing that, I'd appreciate it, thanks. Guest xian1243 Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 It's an clearly incompatibility between the bootloaders (I use a special way of packing each ROM, this one being tested on the Froyo .bin), I advise you to flash Xian LiquidE, boot, then flash the latest .bin. It's simply a matter of settings, but some .bin are configured differently than others. Are you using a LiquidE or a standard Liquid ?

Guest Sewpra Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 I am using a LiquidE, I seem to of gotten booted into the new LiquidF ROM, but for some reason I can't disable haptic feedback? I tried disabling all of it, but I still get vibration when pressing the back button on my LiquidE, very annoying, is there a fix?
Guest xian1243 Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Wait for v1.2 which has fixed haptic feedback, and LiquidE support.

Guest lvcargnini Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Xian, thanks for all the work up to now. I just installed the fix for GPS and USB, works perfectly thanks. I was using the app GPS status and I'm trying to activate the AGPS, I'm connected trough WiFI no 3G+, and it is saying that will do it when a data connection became available. if you look the third image in the upper icons, the wifi is active. Do you have any idea why this could be happening or this is an issue ? img1: img2: img3:

Guest Ximo F. Verde Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Hello Xian and many thanx for all ur hard work. I got a couple of questions for you, which id rather ask now (before 1.2 is out) and maybe u'll have the time to answer  A) Im currently running LS 2.2 beta based on the froyo leak. Even though its a good efford on behalf of LSteam, its still on beta and.. well.. im really interested on the goodies u are cooking at the moment :) So, when 1.2 is out, how do i flash? Im sure that i cannot flash over LS2.2, so should i make a clean install of some 2.1 ROM and then apply a patch? Can u please clarify the flashing procedure for me? (in detail if this is possible, i have only flashed a few custom ROMs until now and im sort of afraid of bricking my Liquid). I dont mind wiping all data on my phone (contacts, apps, everything) so i dont really care about backing-up, if this is any help to the situation. :( I read a few posts before that u managed to have 480p@30fps!! Is this a fact?? No more choppy 10fps video recording??? If this is the case i have to say that i am very very impressed (once more!). C) I have been messing around with flash performance latery, trying various websites/browsers/flash 10.1 versions. After installing the latest flash (10.1.92.10) i noticed a huge performance boost on dolphin hd. In fact i watched southparkstudios.com flash episodes on HD (that should be at least 480p, the quality on the screen was absolutely stunning) with much less stutter and chopyness than before. It was actually very watchable and so was all the videos i tried on youtube (mind that there is not possible to switch from 360p to 480p, due to flash interface bugs) which were very fluid too. Im only mentioning this in case you want to have flash built-in in the ROM, the latest version seems much better than anyone else i have tried. Thats all for now, i hope ull find the time to answer, wish u good results. Many thanx for all ur work again

Do you have any idea why this could be happening or this is an issue ? I think that A-GPS uses the GSM/UMTS cell location to help GPS reception. If you disable the 2G/3G DATA connection, A-GPS maybe is not available.... Somewhere A-GPS is working also from the WiFi network, where Google collected data on WiFi hotspot (if they can: in Germany they was prosecuted for that...). But ... I'm not sure. Ciao, Piero.
Guest xian1243 Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 - Fixed headset icon not showing when plugged in. Still working on SoftAP, it's a problem, as it's half working with new library, but breaks GPS... It may take a couple of days, but I'll release v1.2-pre in the meantime, tonight, I'm making changes to camera and WiFi, so neither are working in the preview release, it's an alpha, based on last weeks work, as some things aren't ready. Xian
Guest Sph1re Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 hello Xian! nobody can help you?

Guest L0cu7us Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 (edited) what about the random reboot due to wifi switch on/off ? Edited September 16, 2010 by L0cu7us
Guest xian1243 Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Right now the WiFi turns on and off by itself, but doesn't reboot as far as I can tell :) Sph1re: Phhusson has helped me a lot, and without him pointing me in the right direction... :( I learn more every day of doing this  Camcorder should be working fine again now, I needed change some make configs, when it finishes building in 1 hour (yes it takes a long time, and sometimes even more!), and it works, I'll include it in v1.2-pre. I won't release v1.2 final until WiFi is working spit spot, and the proximity sensor too.

Sorry, this post confused me a little.. :) Thanx again, really looking forward to v1.2
Guest xian1243 Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 It all depends if I get it working by tonight, but if I don't, v1.2-PRE will be without WiFi and camcorder, everything is functional ATM.
