Guest lvcargnini Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 Yes, for the moment, the proximity sensor is not working in CM6, but of course, that's subject to change (it's a WIP). remember if you get he leaked image I sent, and inside devices ..... liquid you run extract-files.sh it will download all the necessary material for you to cook a new ROM. (I expect).
Guest Smallville CK Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 So if the Proximity Sensor isn't working, how do I activate the phone during a call? Pressing Power button
Guest lvcargnini Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 just to be clear when I mention new leaked image I mention Acer_LiquidE_4.502e.00_EMEA-GEN1_05.01.03
Guest IvoSilva Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 Pressing Power button  Ah! I have it since March and I didn't know that! :) great, thank you!
Guest grooltor Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 just to be clear when I mention new leaked image I mention Acer_LiquidE_4.502e.00_EMEA-GEN1_05.01.03 Yeah, flashed new bin, installed reco 0.6 and restored CM6 RC3 flawlessy. We have a new radio... now we're waiting for a new ROM
Guest xian1243 Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 Compiled! Testing changes, maybe take an hour or so.
Guest jackkykung Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 Compiled! Testing changes, maybe take an hour or so. Please, let me sleep tonight!
Guest xian1243 Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 I'm uploading my latest nightly to multiupload, 21%, but I need to make sure the camera is OK!
Guest ahsid Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 I'm uploading my latest nightly to multiupload, 21%, but I need to make sure the camera is OK! so tethering and proximity sensors are the only things missing ?
Guest xian1243 Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 and the light-o-meter, but that's compensated by the power widget (you can set custom brightness levels). Flashing, be back in 5!
Guest KeruDoitsu Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 I'll wait until Wifi tethering and light sensor are fixed =) Proximity Sensor I don't make any good use xD But the first 2... I can't live without xD
Guest xian1243 Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 Okay guys, still needs some polishing up to do, camcorder still not working right (works, but crashes when taking video). Back to square one.

Guest xian1243 Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 You can find my in IRC if you want to talk, but too much computer today. Camera is fixed, and so is GPS (which got broken fixing WiFi, somehow :)). good night all, @Lvcarghini, add me on gtalk, we can chat tomorrow.
Guest mmick Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 So ATM (as the camera/gps are fixed) the problems are: - light sensor - proximity sensor - wifi tethering These items are so different from other phones?
Guest KeruDoitsu Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 Dunno. I wonder why drivers (or libs or someother thingy) from froyo leaks could not be used in CyanMod, didn't understand if there were compatibility problems... At least for not working features.. Here I'm a profane about android libs etc =)
Guest thedicemaster Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 Dunno. I wonder why drivers (or libs or someother thingy) from froyo leaks could not be used in CyanMod, didn't understand if there were compatibility problems... At least for not working features.. Here I'm a profane about android libs etc =) cyanogen has some differences in the way it works compared to acer's android rom. some functions appear in 1 but not in the other, so they can't just be copy/pasted over each other. one option that is being used right now is to add some of the functions required for some of acer's drivers to cyanogen(benefit of official support) however aside from that, i'm pretty sure despite being more stable on the liquid, some of those drivers are missing things other drivers do have(from what i've read, i believe that one of these is the wifi drivers which have only limited tethering support)
Guest KeruDoitsu Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 Got it. Well, I strongly hope that one day, sooner or later (the first rather than the second xD), those incompatibilities are fixed =)
Guest Dinmamma Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 when to 1.2 Download It will be released when Xian (and I suppose other members of the Cyanogenmod team) feels it's ready, appearently there are still some issues to fix. Hopefully we will have it as soon as possible  Remember, patience is a virtue B)
Guest braineo Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 Xian said we can follow his work and progress on his github, but I cannot tell what is going on in the github Anyone give me a hand? Thanks in advance
Guest elgubbo Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 on the right side you see what he pushed last to the repository (at least i think so). for example when the comment underneath the push says: "Added support for automatic backlight, speed up scrolling." it means xian fixed the light-o-meter problems and did a few performance tweaks
Guest grooltor Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 (edited) might be silly of me to ask, but all the cm6(.1) themes would work on this right??? cuz if not, i was really hoping someone could port this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=759990 I've found a really interesting app on XDA that converts themes http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=737526 I converted the framework-res.apk of this and Minimal Matte http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=787232 for our CM6 RC3. Extract the zip, rename the file you want to framework-res.apk, connect your Liquid to PC, open cmd: (assuming you SDK is on c:\androidsdk\ and the file attached here extracted in c:\downloads) cd c:\androidsdk\tools adb remount adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk c:\<a dir of your choice>\framework-res.apk (this backups the current one) adb push c:\downloads\framewerok-res.apk /system/framework/framework-res.apk adb reboot After that, select the correct cm parts xml file in the other zip, rename it to cmparts_ui.xml and put it in the root of your SD. Go to Settings->CyanogenMod->User Interface->Extra Setting->Import colors from XML Reboot. themes.zip cmparts.zip NOTE: this would change ONLY framework-res.apk. This means that widgets you have installed will look the same as before. Edited September 25, 2010 by grooltor
