Hi all,

I searched this forum and googled but did not find a solution so I decide to post a new topic. It's my first posting. Please forgive me if I don't know the rules.

I am running WinMo 6.5 on my I8000. There's something wrong with my start menu as it only shows the "Today" shortcut. The other shortcuts are all missing. I went into "\Windows\Start Menu" and all the shortcuts are there. I even install a few diff kinds of start menu applications but they don't work. Can anyone advice how to got all my shortcuts back into my start menu?

Thanks in advance!

Just in case you need to know the specs of my phone:

PDA: I8000NXXJE4

CSC: I8000XSOJC3

PHONE: I8000DXJE1

Did it work before? What did you do just before this started?

What happens if you add a new shortcut there? Does it turn up there or not? Check the properties and see if it's maybe hidden or something.

Last option is a hard reset, that will solve it but u will loose ur stuff so make a backup.

yes... I just sent my phone back to Samsung and upgrade from winmo 6.1 to 6.5. It worked initially. Then I installed the usual programs and the start menu don't work anymore...

I added new shortcut (i.e. lnk file) in the \Windows\Start Menu folder but it won't show up...

You are right! It's hidden! But I tried using Resco Explorer to unhide it but it don't work! Do you know how to unhide it?

Thanks in advance!

Just hard reset. When reinstalling your programs, check the start menu after each one to see if something in particular is causing your problem.

Well in Total Commander you can open up the properties of a file/shortcut and just untick the "hidden" box, you can probably do the same with Resco Explorer or try it with total commander and maybe a reboot is required to make it visible after.
