DLNA, Samsung TV & SGS

Hi all,

I have a Plasma tv Samsung PS50B850, with its wifi USB key. I'd like to stream my 720p video taken with SGS via DLNA to the 50' tv. Actually I can do it only through a wifi router. The problem is that the router doesn't support wifi/n but only b/g and the result is not good: video are not smooth and they keep on stopping/playing.

It would be better to connect SGS to tv wifi key directly, in order to use wifi n type connection, but I wasn't able to see the tv network on my SGS. I also tried with an ad hoc connection, but no way.

Is there someone with the same equipment that can help me?

Thx so much!

Just to report that dlna is a lot better with Eclair. I just tested it with JM5 and even if I am with 108 Mbps LAN (tv connection) and g class for wifi (rooter has no n class), HD video are played smoothly, without skipping. So it's a Froyo release problem

Apparently you can do it using a direct ethernet connection (if the TV has one), so i've heard anyway!

Do you know if ANY television with DLNA will work with the SGS? I know samsung have re-named their DLNA functions as 'allshare', but surely this is just a gimmick and the system will work with another DLNA enabled TV? Im looking at a Toshiba Regza with DLNA, thats all!

With the tv model I have, I can use wired connection and wifi as well. DLNA works fine, but with froyo, 720p videos in streaming are not smooth. They are ok with Eclair rom. About other tv...I can't say
