Canadian (Bell) i9000, how to upgrade?

So I just got a lovely shiny i9000 from Bell Canada, the thing is that the numbering is confusing. According to what I can find the "higher" versions are a lower number? I.e. I'm on JG9 and need to uprade to JG5. So how do I do this?

Samsungs website doesn't list any updates...

I'm coming from a well worn Nexus One but that's not got the right bands for Canada :D
