Guest rkelbert
Hi Folks Is it enough to use restore function from recovery to go back to previous/different ROM or still wipe is needed? My understanding that the restore is actually an image that overwrite everything and do not need previous wipe, am I correct?

I believe you are right, it is certainly true of nandroid, that seems to revert without the need to wipe first.
Guest lambrospower
well what's the problem of wiping first ??? it takes around 3 minutes for all of the wipes . . . . i always do wipe before just to be sure that some files won't be left on my system from a test rom
Guest sYndax
i used to upgrade without wiping... it made some application work funny... ie the market crashes, handcent sms sends lots of force closed msgs... doing a complete wipe via rom manager priod to the upgrade worked for me.
