hi guys. i am a new omniak.

wanted to change firmware and got into some trouble.

first i have installed Samsung_CDMA_modem_4_1_.34.zip

it did not want to go easy way in a first place - had error massages. so i have installed inf files manually.

after that i turned the phone , started OCTANS_Mini.v2.11.exe and set up 2 files of new firmware and pressed detect button.

connected the phone and press start downloading button.

the phone showed message that i cant turn it off for about 10 minuts....

but the octans mini was showing it is ready to download.....................and nothing for a long time.....

when i was sick of waiting i turn it off and restarted. the phone is ok but it does not recognised by computer........it says......USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED.....

i thought there is problem with driver so uninstalled and reinstalled (this time setup file worked) the Samsung_CDMA_modem_4_1_.34.zip.........did not help.

so i have tried other computer...........same problem........

i am running winXP sp3

please help ..

thanks a lot

forgot to say. if the phone is on , it can sync with active sync. the system device manager sees it as samsung driver.

but same time i cant connect with samsung pc studio.

if the phone is off and connected to pc , the device manager says unknown device :D

couple of times it could connect to octans mini but first time it hanged and second time i have chosen only csc file as have not expected it work ;) it flashed the file well......

please give me your ideas which direction to dig :D

thanks a lot
