Pulse power adapter

My wife's Desire charger charges the Pulse in no time compared to the standard charger. But I tend to leave mine on my computer USB overnight, and try not to forget it in the morning.

Very interesting work people! :D

Has nobody noticed that the Pulse gets HOT! With just the stock charger when in use?

1000mA?!!

:D With the nokia charger it stays cool and charges in about 2 hours to 100%

I suppose I got a magic Pulse, but my phone is fully charged in 3,5 hour with the Stock-Chager.

You can have a charger that's got 3000 mA but it's not going to hurt the phone. The phone is going to take as much current as it needs to charge. But if you have higher voltage, than you're probably going to see some smoke :D

it could draw that much, depends on how the phone is designed it should have limiting and some internal resistance

luckly i think found the limit,

Plugged my modified in car charger into the pulse once it was dead. the multimeter jumped to 1200mA then instantly back down to 380mA (same as when the datawires are disconnected)

so it looks like it if detects an over current then the limiting circuit cuts in.

Thing is when my battery was about 60% full it charged fine (jumps to 1100mA then settled down at 1000mA)

what i think is happening is there is a low resistance in the phone (the battery) when the charger is connected it tried to pull current that is over the threshold.

I charged the phone from my laptop (seems to be limited to 850mA)

till 20%ish then plugged it back into the car. the phone charge jumped to 1100mA then settled at 1000mA

If anyone is interested ill put something up on how to make a charging cable with a resistor in it to keep the current at/under 1000mA so it wont damage the phone or go over the slow charging threshold

phone charged from dead to 97% in one and a half hours. the last 3% takes ages. (normal for lithium batteries) and the current drops to away to nothing as it reaches it.

In half hour the charge has gone from 0% to 52%! (and that includes charging it from the laptop till it was 20% full)

I recon a quick charge at 1amp for half hour should get you to 70% at least (same as i remeber getting from nokias and such)

battery temp never went over 29C (its now 28C after sitting for 20mins)

phone is cold to the touch and never felt warm while charging.

This is actually universal lion battery charger, you can move charging pins so it can fit most batteries.

What I am more interested is this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=300456938075

It says for lenovo phone, but it fits perfectly?!
