when shoud i wipe?

i've just installed modaco r8 rom without much of sense. When it boots i get force closes on titanium, rommanager. after applying the rom my apps were still there. Should j gave wiped first? This is my first modaco rom. What should i wipe? Just the cache partition or a factory wipe?

any probs after installing a ROM without wipe, then wipe and reinstall mate...

You have to do a foctory wipe.

When I install my customize ROM (r8) without a "wipe data/factory" I see AdFree and TitaniumBackup but I can't send MMS (SMS is OK); but when I do a wipe Ican send MMS but I lost several programs like AdFree, Titanium, maybe other.

After installing a new ROM, I don't make a "wipe factory". To fixxthe MMS problem, I just have to check my APN and change it to the correct one (BouyguesTelecom choose pro network by default :huh: ).

Apparently it's best to wipe before flashing a rom. Presumably installing the ROM also installs something to the user bits.
