Guest fards Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 I'm confused by the nandroid backup, showing my ignorance here, but if you install clockwork recovery to get nandroid. run nandroid, would the recovery.img you produce be the clockwork one?

Guest Paul Brown Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 Is there a way to remove the clockwork recovery? Not sure it's something I want... James Ok thats odd, because i just flashed the recovery provided and it's still stock. I've still only got the 4 options: Factory Reset Update from pkg on SD Card Screen Calibration Power Off I'm sure thats still stock recovery?
Guest llecaroz Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 So just unrooted it but still flashing !

Select update from... and you will get clockwork, at least on first boot.
Guest Paul Brown Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 Select update from... and you will get clockwork, at least on first boot. I just selected Update from PKG on SD Card and i just got the usual stuff, nothing different from what i've had in the past.
Guest fards Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 I just selected Update from PKG on SD Card and i just got the usual stuff, nothing different from what i've had in the past. its been overwritten after reboot with the stock recovery
Guest Paul Brown Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 its been overwritten after reboot with the stock recovery Thanks for the clarification on that. This flashing is starting to become slightly annoying now... I wonder if it's an error code or something?
Guest fards Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 greenacher said he rooted using "Droidroot.apk" on xda-devs wonder if its related. we really need the update.pkg

This flashing is nothing i can't live with, but it is annoying.
Guest jamezwarner Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 logs are full of critical errors  [i2C]IRQ: 90 W2 NAK 63C8 and E3C8 looks like some serious problems talking to a hardware device...
Guest geek78 Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 you should try to "fastboot" flash the 6941 boot.img
Guest jamezwarner Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 Anyone else finding the wifi does not sleep when screen turns off (despite correct setting)
Guest llecaroz Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 (edited) you should try to "fastboot" flash the 6941 boot.img You're correct ! 7546 have maybe fiew issues & is longer in booting than the 6941... no more leds flashing with boot img 6941.... & still running with system.img 7546  cool... & parameter settings appears to be displaying the system.img version (so still displaying 7546 even with a 6941 boot.img) Edited August 26, 2010 by llecaroz
Guest jamezwarner Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 Gah, no the screen staying on bug is still there James

Guest llecaroz Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 Anyone else finding the wifi does not sleep when screen turns off (despite correct setting) Why would you like your wifi going into sleep mode when screen turns off ? Imagine if you have a download or a messaging client waiting for a push/pull ? From my side, having wifi staying on when screen truns off is correct !

Guest fards Posted August 26, 2010 Report Posted August 26, 2010 has anyone tried flashing it with nandroid rather than fastboot? can't see what difference it would make but I'll give it a go
