playing music keeps waking my o2 (screen wont turn off)

i use my touch player to play music. the problem is (and this goes to all roms as far as i've tried) while playing

music i cant seem to make my phone go to sleep. (the right side upper one) this doesnt happened everytime

but when it does it's so annoying because i cant put it to sleep. it keeps waking up and consumes my battery and

the phone is hot in my pocket because its playing music and its not sleeping. does anyone have this problem?

can give me any way or a work around to this problem? what player are you using? i like touch player because of

srs wow option.

this doesnt happened everytime but when it does i noticed that i have use headset in the menu which appears

when you insert the jack halfway and i select headset no matter what player i use.

SO PARTIAL REMEDY FOR THIS:

use headphones instead. keeps the screen off while playing the music. problems is headset sounds better than

headphone. :huh:

do you want the music to continue but the screen to be powered off and stay off?

I have this problem too! :huh: (Sorry for my engish, i'am Hungarian :S)

When i buy my i8000, it is works perfectly for 2 months. Then i realize this problem, + the pda freezes azter 30-50 sec, because of the lots of wake up. The music breaks every 5-6 sec, thy whole pda is slow down :S

Please help me too!!

aww.. this has been addressed many times.. one of the most popular solution to this is try to use S2u2 at the usual settings first. You DO KNOW what s2u2 is right? RIGHT? if it still fails, go to s2u2 and add touch player in exceptions i believe it is in advanced tab.

the other solution is to check all the programs you have installed. it could be one of them that this is happenning.. the easier way is to simply do a hard reset/ flash to a newer rom jf5 or jg5.. But in my opinion JC2 will suffice for me..or try one of those by shadowangel.. check out the roms forum and experiment which one is the best for you..

or if you are happy with just any other media player, try nitrogen player with srs WOW HD.. it has this sweet power button to turn off the screen leaving the player to keep on playing your favourite songs..

if all else fails try installing psShut, it comes with a display switch which turns off the screen without closing the other programs..(not confirmed)

It is also good to know that this kind of problem has not happenned to me for a long LONG time as i keep updating with the latest rom/drivers. but my recent experience with JC2 rom is also very pleasing.

ok i've tried s2u2 as you have suggested. it was ok at first but what i noticed was my problem occurs when i use headset.

halfway in inserting the jack on my o2 an menu appear [ ] headphones [ ] headset [ ] tv out. i choose headset as it sounds

better than headphones. this time my phone doesnt sleep again. it keeps waking up again even i tried to exclude touchplayer

in advance option in s2u2. i also use s2p player. same problem as with touchplayer when playing without headset the phone can sleep while

still playing (screen off) but when i insert the jack and select headset to listen via headset boom i cant make my phone to

sleep again. as ive said before this doesnt happened everytime. maybe you guys have the same experience with me and others

can help us.

Ok, i will tell you my experience with the above problem:

I used to have this problem after change the volume gain in the *# 0002*28346# mode. More specifically with these changes in music4p:

MAX 9877

1.Speaker Volume Control (01h)

SPKVOL4-0 "00000"

2.Left Headphone Volume Control (02h)

HPLVOL4-0 "11111" (original "10111")

3.Right Headphone Volume Control (03h)

HPRVOL4-0 "11111" (original "10111")

And the problem appear when the mp3 that i was listening has a high volume.

Now i change back these values and the problem doesnt show anymore.
