yes, you need sense.

but you can also have sense in "fullscreen" with CHT

well its still sense on i8000.. without S3clock it will never be smooth.. even the 2018 version will start to lagg once stuff like CHT and maxmanilla is added..

Hehe.. believe it or not, I've been working on an Omnia II ROM for the past week or so. I will make all my usual flavors.. Standard, Cookie, GTX, MaxSense and Reference.. and even Sense 2.1 and Titanium ROMs :( They will be VERY HTC :D

Wish you good luck on the roms.. a little suggestion you might want to look at S3clock.. it really turns up the phone's performance a notch!!
