Guest azza6 Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 WTF? A friend called me and it wouldn't work because it thinks it has headphones plugged in. Tried soft reset. Any help?
Guest ElThomsono Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 I think this happened to someone else here, if you have a search about you might find the thread. The fix for them was to unstick the mechanical switch that senses a jack's plugged in; try jiggling something non-conductive (cocktail stick?) around the edge of the headphone socket.

I had the same problem this past month. I just plugged the jack again and then unplugged it.

I can't believe I didn't think of that.
