Hotmail.com account

Hi Guys,

I am on the HTC Desire Software No. 2.09.405.8, Android 2.2, and today, have realised that my hotmail.com accounts can receive e-mails, but I cannot send any. Instead, i get a message failed icon on my notification bar.

I know im a girl, but before any of you say anything, I've also posted the settings:

Incoming settings:

[email protected]

Password

pop3.live.com

SSL

995

Outgoing settings:

[email protected]

Password

smtp.live.com

TLS

587 (i've also tried 25, and it didn't work)

Haha...i know a bit about phones!! But any solution to this?

btw, when i setup my hotmail accounts again, it keeps giving the "Authentication Failed Check username and password" error message, which is really frustrating.

1) SELECT NEW ACCOUNT

2) OTHER POP3/IMAP

3) ENTER EMAIL ADDRESS (SMALL CASE)

4) ENTER PASSWORD (CLICK SHOW PASSWORD TO MAKE SURE ITS CORRECT PASSWORD)

5) CLICK NEXT (WILL VERIFY ACCOUNT INFORMATION)

6) NEW ACCOUNT SCREEN (JUST ADD YOUR NAME UNDER ACCOUNT NAME, LEAVE OTHER OPTION ALONE - DEFAULT MAIL ACCOUNT IS YOUR OPTION!)

7) CLICK FINISH SET UP - AND YOUR DONE!

Hmmm...well, i deleted my email accounts and started again, and this time it worked, but i didnt do anything different. might've been one of those days with my phone!
