As this is not a hardware specific thing would it be possible to create a software hack to enable this feature? Edit: Source - Note that a decent mic and noise cancellation is required for the full shebang. My understanding of the Desire is that it's not great in this respect but surely it should be possible to take advantage of the higher bandwidth for voice over 3G and gain a noticeable improvement.
