until now, I'm not yet see the froyo update on huawei server for S7.

Android 2.2 for Huawei S7

ok guys. here is my progress

adb remount > failed : operation not permitted

adb shell > $ (it seems i don't have adb root)

however, i can put busybox and dump_image to /system/bin using root explorer.

and i can use terminal emulator from my s7 to dump boot and system.

somehow my upload to multiupload always interrupted and failed.

i've uploaded to mediafire.

Anyone made any further progess on this <_< as I can pick up an S7 at fairly reasonably price, and if now running 2.2 will sell one of my O2 Jogglers which also can run 2.2 :P

first you can update to huawei official firmware (2.2.2) here

then you can update again to S7 slim firmware here for better user interface

It seems that huawei has launced a new version of the tablet Huawei s7 slim with capacitive screen and HDMI output based on android 2.2.

This is the code for this tablet:s7-s7uV100R001C003B0011T01.

Can you find something regards this on theyr servers.

What are the specifications of S7 slim if anbady know? i can not find it. On some sites writes that it has 512MB of RAM while on other that it has 256MB and same is with CPU (1GHz, 1,2GHz, 1GHz dual core)?

The old version comes with resistive display and 256mb ram and a slower cpu. The latest modell (at least here in germany) ist the s7-105, which has got kapacitive display, 512mb ram and cpu running 1GHz.

You can ask your reseller, which number the package of your tablet got. S7-103 ist the old modell, just buy the new S7-105...

Rooted with Superoneclick and upgraded to this rom http://www.androidtablets.net/forum/huawei...7-slim-mod.html. Excellent rom and highly recommended with an upgrade due soon. :)

i have a big problem on my S7 slim after installing some apps and restarting tablet touch on my S7 not working. Any suggestion how to fix this without returning device to carrier? Can I somehow factory reset S7 without touch? Debuging is switched off.

Might not be the place to post but can't see a device specific for Huawei S7 sooooooooo!

I'm running the Indonesian 2.2.2 and I can't find any software that will use the backward camera for video calling. People say FRING but it just crashes on mine.

Anyone video calling?
