That looks nice, is it completely bug free?

P

I tried it and it broke my ability to see my online photos in the gallery, not sure if it was the cause though.

Hi, would it be possible to include a auto call recording feature into your next rom R9. I found this extremely useful on my omnia for remembering appointments ect.. I`v tried nearly all programs available but non work...

Bye the way...

Your R8 rom is excellent, so far had no problems whatsoever with it. The on-line kitchen is mint as well.

Paul,

Not sure if there is a chance to add "Chinese Handwriting Input". I remember on the stock rom of 2.1, htc have a handwriting function where i can just draw the word out.

Maybe only exist in Asian Rom? Miss that function.

@Paul

It is confirmed that Chinese Handwriting Input is included in Official Hong Kong OTA FroYo. Do you think you can extract that and put into kitchen?

Thanks!

Sorry for getting back to you so late, but yes it's LIKE that widget, but different (i bought it, but it's not satisfying my needs).

The one from your link makes my phone crash/get really slow, when toggling 3G.

The one from OpenDesire & Cyonagen doesn't have that problem, so maybe they use something slightly different? Their options for Data Connection toggling are different and the whole configuration of the widget looks different.

I've asked AdamG what he's using as a Power Control Widget, but no response as of yet.

Hmm, that's the stock email. Would it be better to patch HTC's email in the same way?

Could be tricky as I don't have an exchange account to test with however.

P

Yes, patching HTC's email APK in the same way would be fantastic.

I am sure many of us, me included, could help in testing.

Kiran

I now have a smooth-sense without the battery percentage which i'll be putting in. :P

P

Paul this is fantastic! Can't wait to get a working version of smooth sense on my Desire.

Last time I tried flashing this, it corrupted my APNs.

However, could I just repeat my request for the Super Circle battery mod too please? The problem is that if I flash the Zip I already have over R9, I will lose all framework_res.apk modifications that you have done for smooth sense.

I have tried multiple times and failed each time to concoct a framework_res.apk which has everything that I want - I am getting something wrong but just can't figure out what it is. Looking towards you to help me out here.

Regards,

Kiran

Is there any chance of getting working SPP in R9?

Thanks in advance!

have you tried the kitchen for super circle a-e + z over at xda?

as you upload your own framework-res.apk file there, could be the existing modifications resist

cannot test it because don't know what to test, but the framework-kitchen works well

@woti17,

No, I must admit I haven't. I wasn't even aware that such a kitchen existed to be honest.

Could you point me to the link please?

Kiran

Morning all,

I've been using this ROM for the last 24hrs and have experienced a few problems with syncing accounts.

Push email and facebook/contacts integration doesn't seem to work at all. I can manually refresh within the gmail app to get new emails but no notifications are displayed, and contacts show no evidence of being integrated with facebook other than the fact that the HTC XML data is present in the notes.

I don't get it, for the sake of having a working build I left in practically everything sense related and have deleted and re-synced my accounts & contacts.

Any ideas?

Edit: I've played around some more and facebook integration now works after manually removing and re-syncing. Gmail still isn't working without manual refresh, however forced sync does not appear to work at all which makes me wonder if there are any permissions issues around syncing. Coming from the last R8 WIP (where I experienced similar problems), to this one with a full wipe between each I think this is a little odd.

It works fine on r8 but you must remove the old version otherwise you will get problems with online albums. It is also worth noting that they take a while to sync through so may not appear straight away.

Didn't you restore this with Titanium Backup?

Yeah I used Titanium Backup to restore all user apps+data.

paul, it gets really difficult not to oversigh important checkboxes if you are on a small screen

could you:

- leave the explanations for thc widgets out, seriosly, what will a "call mam" widget do other then call mam?

- maybe provide a select all, deselect all button for the different groups?

- leave the pics out

- fix the width of the kitchen, there is a horizontal scroll on small screens, only in the kitchen section

btw: if you haven't allready

update iptables to 1.4.7 or higher, so droidwall, proxy and others work by default

terminfo has gone btw, don't know when

If you use Firefox as your browser just press & hold the CTRL key and scroll your mouse wheel up and down to adjust the page size to your liking.

It's not a game changer by any means, I just prefer the lighter theme as it blends in nicely with launcherpro.

Paul's doing an excellent job and offers one of the best roms out there, but why allow you to remove sense and its related widgets if there little niggly bugs remain...You might as well not bother and leave sense in anyway.

+1

that's not adjusting the page size what you talk about that's altering the font size

i don't want to read text with font size 4pt or less

btw everything is automatic width=100% (and stays when altering fontsize), except the post with the inluded kitchen
