Well, since i'm the only one with this RIL problem, i've just rolled back these files to previous ones, problem solved.

I would like to see a date/timestamp on the kitchen page indicating when it was last updated...So I can see quickly if there is something changed/added.

I also was a big fan of this Option but Paul explained there are problems adding it as an option and why it is not needed if you have A2SD+.

Smooth Sense is the Battery Mod that puts the numbers in the regular/stock battery. And it adds extra animation frames to the battery and sync icon.

First I read Paul was going to do the Skinning himself. That would mean he would work with the framework already present in R9 releases. He probably worked from the Smooth Sense Graphics. Don't feel the need to Cook and flash the latest WIP. But I don't think this one will have the White Line Graphic Bug you posted in the other WIP thread.

(All Theory)

Indeed so far it doesn't appear to have.

Thanks mate.

I saw this here forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=768703

But I never tested it...

Its called MarketAccess and is a full rebuild of Market Enabler. You can download the application from this site

Paul, when the governor module is installed on top of r8 we need to ensure that perflock is disabled. Sub501 provides a separate update that can do this for us without having to rebake the ROM -- just noticed that the r9 kitchen allows you to choose the governor module but leave perflock enabled. If including the governor does not force perflock to disable, it might be worth putting a quick note next to the governor in the kitchen interface to indicate that perflock needs to be disabled.

I'd like to plug the idea of adding this item as an option in the kitchen, having those reboot options available in the shutdown menu is really handy

No real issues except for Maps still not updating. I see a couple of updates for this in post 3 but still a no-no. Is this supposed to be fixed already or still in progress?

Hi! Can someone explain this options?

Custom governor settings - is that theoretically what SetCPU does? Right?

CFQ IO Scheduler Module - What is it for? What about power/battery usage?

Undervolt Module - Somehow i could this that it's manages the voltage of CPU/GPU? But which pro/contra of using this?

Thanks!

Custom governor settings This is for managing the CPU

CFQ IO Scheduler Module Completely Fair Queuing IO Scheduler Module

Not the best explanation but hope it helps

Im using and battery life is much better for it.

Custom Governor is adding 2 governors that you can also use in SetCPU but are not present originaly. One to shut your CPU to the lowest frequency when screen's off, and another to adjust frequency on demand when screen's on. With that, you don't really need SetCPU anymore, it's set transparently.

CFQ IO, I don't really know but it's performance related, not really battery life time. Anyway, it can be good to have it too...

And Undervolt is... undervolting of the CPU. There is no contra, your CPU is working exactly as before but with less voltage, and so more battery time !

at least there is a software that let you compare different rom versions on the pc:

Deltawalker (MS Windows, Mac, Linux)

you open two rom.zips, walk through the directories inside and the file differences/changes are highlighted

I've never had problems with C2P on any MCR ROM, also I've been using it today without issues

Paul, I've just read an article about the new HTC phones, and the new Sense, and the Navigation (and so on), and it said that these features are only available for the new models. But this doesn't mean that you cannot port them to Desire, right?

Agh what good is landscape Sense of you don't use Sense

But that fast Boot is looking great, but probably some hardware related trick.

What else of interest is there on the phones to port for non Sensers, besides Default phone recovery services?

I would've thought it would be possible. Not sure about the remote-access features, although they're all already available in one form or another. I don't recall the name of the Sense UI I'm using as I busted the HDD with all that info on it, but as far as I know I'm using a "newer" Sense skin as part of the E[x/s]presso mod. It functions exactly as the standard one does, but it's simpler and straight instead of curved.

That said, there is a hangover to using it -- when I browse widgets, each element of the Sense interface appears in the widget list, and Sense itself crashes if I choose one of them.

Not sure about navigation etc but these things do seem to be port-able.

This reminds me actually -- I notice that there's an option for the default Google messaging instead of the HTC one. Does anybody have a side-by-side of these two? I'm using the HTC one but am wondering now, and can't find anything likely on Google Images.
