Don't hold your breath... unless HTC offer an update for the Desire (which seems unlikely), it would take:

a. a phone being available with the new sense on. (it isn't yet)

b. that phone being rooted to make the files available (it hasn't yet)

c. the Sense code being separable from the OS (it hasn't been in the past)

d. the code to work without alteration on a different phone with a different graphics processor (it hasn't in the past)

I'd love to see this fix added too, The a2sd+ corruption bug has made me wary of using it.

i altered vold.fstab, and it seems no longer to umount the ext3 partition if i connect with usb. (i have a2sd+ and the apps keep now open while usb-connect).

is there anything what could causing troubles with this?

also the /mnt/asec (froyo app2sd?) still gets umount-ed. the apps on sd disappear in the "all apps" selection list

but then i never had the sd card issue anyway - alone the fact the ext3 partition doesn't get automounted on my pc is a good thing

I'm using the R8 Rom at present and it's using Radio Version 32.44.00.32u_5.09.05.30_2

Is there another version out I can use now on the R8 rom?

Just read about new Sense myself. Paul mentioned it, But it would be awesome to see the new Sense on MCR whenever said ROMs with the interface are available.

I already have one (DSP Manager), but if Paul's still open for suggestions i'd Say +1 on that one.

I used to have the start up sound, but DSP Manager kind of made the start up sound strange.

Now I have removed the start up sound :lol:

yes, i tried that too, but, youtube ie interrupts when going to dsp app, should be possible to manage to sound while sound is running?

Can the wireless: regulatory domain setting be enabled?

I wish to access wireless channel 14 (every other channel is crowded in my area) - routers set to channel 14 dont show up using r8.

I can't find if this is covered with the 802.11n additions or not.

I can confirm that this works - Just baked a new ROM using online kichen, edited /system/etc/vold.fstab replacing "auto" with "1" then flashed it on my device (without wipe). The corruption does not occure anymore.

It's also possible to boot phone into recovery and modify the file on the phone (without flashing).

I hope that this will be incorporated in Paul's ROM soon :-).

does it affect changing between froyo app2sd and a2sd+?

because the froyo app2sd will be unmounted with part set to 1 - i have although a2sd+ 2 apps that got (how ever to the froyo /mnt/asec) and they get unmounted

Ok, till Paul will include it on R9 I want to create a 'patch' flashable from recovery. Just confirm your SDCARD partition layout:

p1 - FAT32

p2 - EXT2/3/4

??
