perflock is included automatically if you select the governor module, so it's a non issue.

paul do you think its possible for you to add the new featurs that the desire HD offers in the this kiticken for the desire? when the rom gets released.

If he can bake the new CPU into the ROM I'll bite.

@Paul,

I think Bruts' Google Map is coming out bruts17 on this weekend

If the kitchen could include optional "Incredible Font", that would be cool

Replacing the Fonts yourself is a lot safer then adding in your own Frameworks.

Replacing Framework get's you stuck rebooting the boot animation.

Adding in your own .zip with the fonts is damned easy to do yourself, it's why Paul added the option to browse to a zip file.

I'd say for me it's -1 on a font option as it already exists.

(Just my 2 cents, nothing personal)

your perfectly right

what paul could think of is to add the option to have a symlink

from /system/fonts/DroidSans.ttf to /data/local/fonts/DroidSans.ttf (and ditto for "bold" font weight)

so someone could overwrite the default fonts, without flashing a zip.

but then, at xda there is "Font Changer" and a zip to flash to return to the original fonts if someone breaks up the fonts,

a good howto and explanation, so everything is here yet someone need to change fonts

btw: taking fonts from internet downloads from unknown sites isn't always a savvy thing (especially making them downloadable again, beside copyright issues fonts have), i'd rather take some of the fonts all pc operating systems come with and use them privatly

(windows, mac os x, linux all have useable truetype fonts to start with, they are optimised and small in bytesize)

btw 2: as for now there are much more different fonts available then battery icons (yet ,-)

and tastes are different

That's sweet!

Coming up.

Just a note - my desire R9 became very laggy after flashing this. Reverting back to the Nandroid backup fixed it - so something in the mod seems to be affecting (at least my) performance.

if I include HTC IME but exclude HTC IME (modified) and bake the rom, i get no keyboard at all.

if I include both of them I just get the modified one.

It would be better if we have more stock apps that we could remove. For example, Browser.apk.

Paul,

could you add Ext4 support? The kernel-module has been included to other ROM too and I would like to use Ext4 for Apps2Sd+.

With all these requests may be Paul should add desire hd and Z stuff to R 10 and finish off r 9 as it is now???

Hey, guys!

Could somebody explain to me - whether it's only my luck or it's a bug of r9? I just have upgraded it and found that there is no multi-touch at all. When I found it, I tried almost all applications that usually provided me with this feature, but all of them failed. Maps, browsers, pictures viewer, etc. Possibly it's the first time that I paid my attention and some of previous versions had the same trouble.

What happens here? What could be the problem?

I have also been running this for weeks without a slower device.

Like the previous reply, Reboot after flashing.

Lol - been flashing for a while - I did of course reboot multiple times, used it for a while. Plus I turn phone off at nights so it's always a fresh boot in the morning. It's just laggy for me. Have reapplied after nandroid to the same results - no doubt that's what's causing it for me, I can live without the mod.

Cheers,

Andrew.

What Input method are you using (keyboard)?. I have found that when I use 'Touch Input' or 'HTC_IME mod' method, multi-touch is fine. Howerver, when I use Android keyboard I lose multi-touch ability. I also have SlideIT Keyboard and multit-touch doesn't seem to work with this either. It is one thing you could test I suppose. Hope this helps

You gonna have to set the android keyboard as the default one and reset your handset, thatll fix your multitouch.

IMHO at least one thing should be done before doing this (if it's even possible - see Paul's twitts) is upgrade to 2.10.

Hi,

Quick q:

If I have SetCPU already do I need any of Sub501's options?

UPDATE: Left those options out for now, r9 seems to be running faster for me but then again, I was more selective with data restored from TB. When's this release to be made final, what's the usual timeline?

I am sensing rather bad battery drain with the latest 17th of september update, I have a 2600 mAh battery, and it drained by 51% in the space of 8 hours despite the fact that it spent all of that time in standby, and no unusual applications where running in the background. I have WiFi N enabled in sleep, and I chose the options "disable perflock", "Custom governor settings", "CFQ IO Scheduler Module", and "Undervolt Module". It also managed to drain my original factory supplied battery from 90% down to 4% overnight (I have tried wiping battery stats after the batteries emptied but it made no difference)

I have not experienced anything like this amount of battery drain on any MCR before, and would be interested to know a cause. I have attached a screenshot of my battery use metric if it is of any help
