Guest leumi Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 What Input method are you using (keyboard)?. I have found that when I use 'Touch Input' or 'HTC_IME mod' method, multi-touch is fine. Howerver, when I use Android keyboard I lose multi-touch ability. I also have SlideIT Keyboard and multit-touch doesn't seem to work with this either. It is one thing you could test I suppose. Hope this helps It's true. I used a non-standard input method. It was a Smart Keyboard. Then I used Swype. Now I re-flashed my device and it seems everything is fine  I have no explanation how it is possible, but that's it :) But thank you for your advice.
Guest Subject Delta Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 I'd also like to plug the idea of having the Droid 2 multitouch keyboard port, and FatherD's silver framework res as options in the kitchen
Guest skinnypupp Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 Hi, Friendstream is not letting me add a Facebook account (only Twitter). Does anyone know what I might have missed?
Guest Mekerz Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 Sigh, and this is what happens ladies and gentlemen if you keep flashing any old mods to your phone. If you're flashing over customised frameworks to your phone, I'm seriously surprised you're wondering why your batteries are draining. I've gone onto teppic's 2.10 rooted OTA with optional mods because in my honest opinion, this kitchen keeps adding superficial stuff into the ROM before important things such as being based on the 2.10 OTA.

Paul mentioned he's working with new Desire HD/Z Roms and also slowly adding in 2.10 Stuff. He has been reluctant to add battery mods to the kitchen and has only added one that he did the work on himself. This after a gazillion requests in R3.1 till R9 threads for Battery mod additions. I think it's unfounded to say Paul "This Kitchen" only focusses on superficial "Things". If it was something said about some of the users, it would have been correct. As for After the addition of the A2SD "Fix" it looks like the transfer speed while in Disk mode has gotten a bit slower. (If it is related it's something I'm willing to live with if this fixes weirdness with corruption) Any one else seeing this?
Guest Sub501 Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 (edited) Hi, Friendstream is not letting me add a Facebook account (only Twitter). Does anyone know what I might have missed? Yep, it is about Third Party Applications - Facebook, was it included in your ROM?. And yes it is strange... but is true. Edited September 19, 2010 by Sub501

The A2SD fix does not tune or modify r/w operations to sdcard. It just removes auto detection of which partition is FAT32 on your SD card. Yep, it is about Third Party Applications - Facebook, was it included in your ROM?. And yes it is strange... but is true. You can cook Facebook app in kitchen, then go into Zip file and remove Facebook.apk file in /system/app :-).

Guest Joshua Lim Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 Ive just got this too, advice please? I also received it. But just ignore it  I am just paul will soon release a update soon, since he is comparing some latest version update before he put it in kitchen. Just be patience :)

I know that Paul has been playing with the HD and Z ROMs, as I've been following him on twitter. I didn't say it only focused on superficial things, I'm saying some of the most recent additions have been superficial. I'm an Adfree supporter and I believe I've got a lot of value out of my subscription as Paul's kitchens are easy to use and feature rich. However, the 2.10 OTA fixes multi Gmail account syncing, surely this is more important than Ireland locale and 3-1 boot menu? I don't see the point in the 3-1 boot menu, usually if I go into recovery it's because I need to use adb which means I'll be needing to connect the USB lead at some point. Might as well connect it, open command prompt and type in adb reboot recovery.

I'm on 3UK and have had this popping up for around 3-4 days .. not going near it though, have no idea what it might do, but I am sure it won't be any improvement on Paul's superb works
Guest Tobias Rydholm Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 I have a request. In open desire and other vanilla roms it's possible to both wake and unlock the phone using trackpad twice. This is very nice I think, instead of having to wake with trackpad, and then swipe or press menu. Is it possible to incorporate this function in R9? At this point it's on of two things I really miss in mcr. It would also be nice to be able to overclock.

Guest Pay87 Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 Great rom, would be nice to see the OTA update integrated in this, too. With undervolt I get reboots from time to time. (also got this in the past in other roms with uv while testing). I am not sure if its CFQ or also undervolt related, but removing them solved my battery drain on mcr 9 so far
Guest Subject Delta Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 Yep, it is about Third Party Applications - Facebook, was it included in your ROM?. And yes it is strange... but is true. I would have thought that if you keep the Facebook for HTC Sense component (which is the component Sense uses for it's Facebook integration) that you wouldn't need the app from the market.
Guest skinnypupp Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 Yep, it is about Third Party Applications - Facebook, was it included in your ROM?. And yes it is strange... but is true. Are you sure that's the HTC facebook app? Looking at the description, it's just the normal Facebook app in the market: "This option includes the Facebook application (1.3.2) and the embedded sync support."
Guest flamejim Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 would love to see the new sense from the htc desire hd.... but i believe they made a mistake at xda news forum because http://www.xda-developers.com/android/new-htc-sense-features-to-be-ported-soon/ they say the new sense is (FRF91) but they already have that one online just like you so i believe it must be a higher number. But still love to see it.

Does it take away root? that ota update is on the wild from 2 weeks now, but if you use a rooted rom you MUST disable ota notification, as for sure they will remove root, and even worst they update your hboot... what's the point in having an ota update, if that update is already applied to rooted roms generally about 2 hours after it's available? if you go for root, continue with root...

Guest htcnick Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 What should also be addressed is the fact that, when including the Sense Facebook application and using the syncing features, it will try to call the FriendStream app (and fail), making Android non-critically stuck in a timeout loop for the sync (AFAICT, it just runs all the time and annoys by giving a permanent sync icon - even in Airplane mode). i have this same problem. During the bake, i didnt add friend stream cause i dont want it. Now i get a constant syncing icon on the notice bar. I think its killing my batt too. How do i stop it from syncing, cause i think its syncing nothin.
