You seem to have gone back to the non-date filenames for the bakes. Would be nice to see it back again but with the format of R9-yyyymmdd-tttt-Bravo....etc.zip as others have mentioned.

does it have an other kernel-version?

will loading of modules from undervolt to cifs, tun etc break?

R9 niggles...

I'd been using R8 for a while and decided the weekend was time to have a go at R9.

I've noticed that the new widgets don't appear after the flash. This is after full wipe, very rare that I don't wipe when upgrading. They don't appear after clearing Sense cache/data, or after a re-flash.

I had this same problem when using Titanium backup to restore [Desktop] HTC Sense.

I am sensing rather bad battery drain with the latest 17th of september update, I have a 2600 mAh battery, and it drained by 51% in the space of 8 hours despite the fact that it spent all of that time in standby, and no unusual applications where running in the background. I have WiFi N enabled in sleep, and I chose the options "disable perflock", "Custom governor settings", "CFQ IO Scheduler Module", and "Undervolt Module". It also managed to drain my original factory supplied battery from 90% down to 4% overnight (I have tried wiping battery stats after the batteries emptied but it made no difference)

I have not experienced anything like this amount of battery drain on any MCR before, and would be interested to know a cause. I have attached a screenshot of my battery use metric if it is of any help

same here but im only using a 1400mAh

Hmmm, no, I haven't... maybe that change hasn't replicated across all the kitchens... i'll double check.

No, I'm not adding in the new kernel until i've modded everything that that'll break. Soon. :lol:

When I downloaded the R9 version of this ROM and installed it. The A2SD Fix (from the 17th September) got me stuck in a boot loop. I tried a version prior to that (I download them reguarly) and it worked perfectly. Is there any way the A2SD corruption fix could be added instead of forced?

Sounds strange I know, but the boot loop was a good 10 minutes, then I decided to fake-flash Nandroid Restore.

Saying that though, at the same time I put an edited version of the framework-res.apk, that might've done it.

More likely the Framework-res, I didn't have any issues with A2SD+, the 1st time I'd used it. Took an age on first boot, about 10 mins IIRC so just bear with it. I flash the framework separately afterwards when its all settled down.

Regarding bad battery, I was also experiencing very bad battery life with Wifi N enabled. I don't use it anymore (not really useful anyway) and it now last a lot more (I used 17/09 WIP r9 from friday till monday without recharging with wifi enabled, mostly idle, but I also surfed once or twice for a while).

There are two newer versions of the radio:

23/08/10 - Added 32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2 Thanks to EddyOS

30/08/10 - Added 32.46.00.32U_5.10.05.17_2

31/08/10 - Added 32.47.00.32U_5.10.05.23 Thanks to ownhere

Ha, Pesky little numbers, it was downloading it and saw I already had it in my download folder since the 24th indeed.

@Paul is the "build.prop.old" left in system intentionally?

the version from 17th (with A2SD-fix) was ok for me. with the actual version (20th) I also get a boot-loop. because of some other market-problems (I used different MODs, so things went a little messy I guess) I did a full wipe.

Older r9 (before A2SD-fix) -> latest r9 without wipe. Stuck at HTC logo.

Had to remove the battery to get in to recovery. Before apply:update.zip i could see a message about "no space left on device"..

Did you include the "smooth theme"? I have tried that several times, and every time I've been stuck at the HTC logo. When I exclude it it works fine. Right now I'm in big trouble because of this. I accidently forgot to exclude it, and the phone got stuck. I then wiped the dalvik cache and every other wipeable thing in recovery mode, and then ran a backup. This resulted in that the camera did no longer works, neither does the google sync, and worst of all, the market app keeps on crashing. I have flashed a couple of different roms since, and still the same problem. Now I've reflashed the radio, and a new rom, but now the phone constantly sais "loading" once I've entered my pin. Is this the time to buy a new phone perhaps...?

Rebake with just the added friendstream, no need to whipe.

Now that this ROM is based on the 2.10 source, it seems a little more snappy, particularly on menu popup. Don't know if it is a placebo but it does seem generally a bit better
