Guest Clust3r Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 i'm waiting since < 1 month for get back my streak to factory, so take care I can wait a little bit more ^^ I think you have show up a good point, the patch need the boot 6267 installed but when we have 2.1 you can't boot it with 1.6 boot file, so if i'm in true, if i success install 1.6 21 i can boot with boot 6267 and do the recovery process. i'll test i come back to you when i have the result of this test And yes i have a poor English :P
Guest Mirrdhyn Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 I think that I have 'brick' my streak because it doesn't boot, I have the dell logo but nothing arrives. I have applied the boot.img but it doesn't boot too. Since I have do that, I have this behavior on my streak. I will test to install the 02 2.1 update on my SDCard this night. However, Do you have an other boot.img to go back on 2.1 ? Just to understand what I have done on my streak : - I have copied all files in a good path. - I have boot in fastboot mode to apply the boot.img. - I reboot and I have the dell logo... After I have boot in bootloader mode to install te Update.pkg on my SDCard but I have a black screen with the backlight on and nothing arrives too. When I go back to my home, I will copy on my SDCard the Update.pkg from O2 to apply this update. I get back to you if I find any solutions to unbrick my streak.

Guest Mirrdhyn Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 Yes, I will copy the update O2 8105 pkg on my SD Card to boot on and I cross my fingers :P Thank you very much for your help. If you are nearly Paris, France, I mean that it's worth a beer (or an other drink) :)
Guest geek78 Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 thanks Another way if you have the clockwork recovery. Try this update.zip in bootloader mode and after a normal reboot the official 6267 pkg in bootloader mode http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KYSKAAZ4

I don't understand what I need to do.

Guest Clust3r Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 flash update.zip with clokwork get stuck @ Dell on normal boot, stick black screen in recovery. After reflash clockwork, reinstall update.zip, laucnh adb shell mount /system updated files with some from 6267 dec pkg Now i got recovery flash no more error, but still stuck @ black screen
Guest geek78 Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 Ok. Have you tried the other way with the flash-image boot bootfrom6267.img this afternoon ? For the solution with clockwork i have tried to make a custom rom with the boot from the 6267 build and my recovery patch but if you send your dec file (not your zip) it will take 5 minutes to Paul to build the update. .. flash update.zip with clokwork get stuck @ Dell on normal boot, stick black screen in recovery. After reflash clockwork, reinstall update.zip, laucnh adb shell mount /system updated files with some from 6267 dec pkg Now i got recovery flash no more error, but still stuck @ black screen

Guest Mirrdhyn Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 I have just downloaded the Clust3r's file zip and the last geek78's file zip. In geek78's archive, I copy the boot.img in my folder where I have the fastboot and adb applications. In Clust3r's archive, I copy the recovery.img in the previous folder. I have already copied the update.pkg (1.6 6267) on the root of sd card. After, I have put my streak in fastboot mode and do that (change fastboot-OS with your correct OS that you have) : ./fastboot-OS -i 0x413c flash boot boot.img ./fastboot-OS -i 0x413c flash recovery recovery.img Then, I have unplug the USB and the battery to reboot my streak in install mode (volume up and down + power). Select 'update from sd card...' with camera button. After a few minutes (which lasts for hours :) ) and some automatic reboots, I go back to baseband 00 with 1.6 6267 I think that it's all, but I don't understand all of this procedure if I have changed something else before because I have tested a lot of possibilities :P Now, I am waiting for the official update from Dell ( 2.2 ? ) :(

Guest Mirrdhyn Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 (edited) Ok I will do that when I arrive at my work. Edited September 8, 2010 by Mirrdhyn
Guest Mirrdhyn Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 In attachment, you find my recovery.img for 00 baseband. I have also tested with a clockwork-recovery.img to install the update 1.6 version 6267. But, I don't know which way I did to go back in baseband 00. I think that I have install via fastboot clockwork-recovery.img, reboot, install via fastboot my recovery.img and the boot.img for 00 and reboot again and install the update via the installer mode (vol+ and - with power). But, as I said, I am not sure... However, return to 1.6 is very painful and I lost a lot of features and the streak has some bugs that it hasn't in 2.1. - Bluetooth cuts (micro cut) when I listen musics (in 2.1 too). - I lost the network data frequently (in 2.1 too). - The keyboard is not smooth when the network changes frequency. It seems that the network driver takes a lot of resource on the streak (not in 2.1). - And the most important, the market place... So, If you want to go back in 1.6, check that before if you doesn't need an application only compliant with 2.1 version. Have a nice day :Precovery.img.zip
