Guest endamaco Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Akira you're very very lucky because you are the only one with remount working? But maybe you have also superbooted it? Or maybe hav you done a nandroid restore?
Guest endamaco Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Another thing that is annoying me: in the message application.. It shows the photos of who sent the sms.. Is it possible to disable this? Or at least does someone succeded on setting a photo for "me"? Is very ugly to see the photos of the contacts but see that you sent a sms and you have that grey robot!
Guest Nesli Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Also i can confirm very good battery live, looks like a one half of battery more than 1.100.63 I had before.. :P
Guest akira.pwr Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 (edited) Akira you're very very lucky because you are the only one with remount working? But maybe you have also superbooted it? Or maybe hav you done a nandroid restore? Maybe we talked about something different, I told I had root after flashed the zip file of xda site, I saw the super user icon and for me it's rooted, after that I've flashed vache's boot with andrews tool for trying it, and nothing changed, maybe before there was something wrong I haven't noticed.. Now it's too late for make tests because I've flashed vache's boot.... For example, my battery life don't seems to be so good, for me is like frf91, so don't so good (but I don't mind because I can charge anytime), maybe I've done something wrong. Guest Edward.W Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Just spotted another little thing, once you try to uninstall the Acer Launcher.apk , you'll get endless Force close :P
Guest eumate Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 but...we are sure that is a different kernel? i can't try now... Kernel may be really similar but some drivers are different, there's different baseband also. Anyway phh has built it with different vmsplit option than the acer, so it won't work for sure without some 'adjustment' first.
Guest ilsalgo Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 the REMONT work to me, I only flash superboot by Vache, Superuser from market and I have download Busybox from and installed it in: /system/bin/
Guest tombii Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Just spotted another little thing, once you try to uninstall the Acer Launcher.apk , you'll get endless Force close :P Had that as well, had to remove battery but after that it works :)
Guest akira.pwr Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Just spotted another little thing, once you try to uninstall the Acer Launcher.apk , you'll get endless Force close :P You mean the stream launcher? I don't dislike it... But it's a little laggy.
Guest bais Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Little request: Could someone please pull the framework-res.apk from this bin and upload it here? I themed mine, but I no longer have a battery icon, so I want to have the stock one to fix this. To get it you must be rooted, then open Command prompt. adb remount adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk c:\ Thanks!
Guest tc4101 Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 and removed som unneccessary Acer apps. how do i remove the shtty acer apps?
Guest Edward.W Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Had that as well, had to remove battery but after that it works :P I can't said it's a bug, but if people want to remove it to save memory, it's annoying :)
Guest Andy__P Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 excuse my noobness but I'm obviously missing something here. I've installed malez, phone is rooted, superuser is installed, titanium backup installed (and have run a backup). The leaked .bin file is downloaded. I was expecting the leak file to be an "update.zip" file which I would then copy to the root of the SD, boot into recovery mode and install. So I zipped the .bin file and called it "Update.zip" but then when i boot into recovery and try to "install update.zip" it fails because the file isn't signed. :P Help the noob? please. Cheers, Julian It's not an update zip. It's a full bin. You have to install it with the Acer Tool: http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...ad-tool-for-a1/ It'll erase everything on your phone (except SD Card) So you'll have to reinstall recovery and root it again.
Guest Dona' Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 how do i remove the shtty acer apps? Titanium Backup is perfect for uninstalling apps.
Guest Edward.W Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Titanium Backup is perfect for uninstalling apps. For me, I use Root Manager :) Just remove all those Acer's apps, it occupied not much space, but I just dislike them :P

Guest xian1243 Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 (edited) @Vache I'm logging on IRC, but just a quick note to you and everyone else, I wouldn't personnaly use this leak, as it is incomplete, and a lot of debugging tools have been compiled into it, giving you some logging that the average user wouldn't want filling up his phone. Malez Recovery isn't as of yet compatible with it, so... I'm sticking to CM6 :P I'll be working on a new CM6 build with WiFi hotspot working (thanks to the leak! :)), and I'll try getting the other missing parts too. Guest bais Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Thank you vache! @Xian: thanks for the information, I'll use this one anyway, videocam, tonality, and battery life is important to me. I don't mind the debug things as long as they don't make phone unusable.

Guest akira.pwr Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 @Vache I'm logging on IRC, but just a quick note to you and everyone else, I advise people NOT to use this leak, as it is very incomplete, and a lot of debugging tools have been compiled into it, giving you all the same bugs as the dreaded 1.100.05 release (DxDrm logs, :P). It's missing some important elements dalvik cache related, and is not 100% compatible with Malez Recovery... I'll be working on a new CM6 build with WiFi hotspot working, and I'll try getting the other missing parts too. Xian Great, please don't delete stream elements if you can...
