Can the apps2sd function in LS setting work?

I prefer the apps2sd function in LS 2.1

Hi LStream n thanx for all ur hard work. One question, maybe u can enlighten me.. Im on the leaked 2.2 ROM and i have noticed that on the browser (as well as with Dolphin HD) theres a bad 'stutter' when holding and scrolling (It looks like a continuous render-unrender motion, bit hard to explain sorry) and also sometimes theres a terrible lag on the touchscreen when scrolling with one touch up and down on all browsers. Have u noticed these bugs? And if yes, is there something that u did or going to do to adress them?

And one general question (maybe you as developer could answer): In all ROMs that ive tried until now (4-5 Official stable and leak ROMs as well as Xian's v.1) I have noticed that the touchscreen, in all situations, has a little lag. Im talking about all phone operations not only the browser. I believe that other ROMs maybe a little better than others, but I havent seen until now a close-to-0ms response on the touchscreen in any ROM. Is there something that you know about it? Is it just a hardware problem that cant be solved? Thanx for all ur time and work again

LSteam: any idea when you may release the final 2.2? For you experience is the battery better than default Acer v2.1?

i think 1 week :P

I HAVE INSTALLED CEDIME , but cannot change the method to use it.

Did you mean i must not Delete HTC IME ?

Can i install it back?

why you can't change input method?

Im sorry man, I wll try to explain things better.

2.2 leak ROM: The first problem i mentioned was the 'stutter'. On the android browser and sometimes on the android settings menus there is a stutter when u hold and scroll. This means that when u touch the sreen and u slowly move your thumb up and down to scroll, the motion of the page is not smooth, it makes little 'jumps' which is very distracting. Have noticed this? Is there something that can be done about it?

All Liquid ROMS (the ones i mentioned that i tried) and more on 2.2 leak ROM: There is a lag in the touchscreen. This means that there is a small time period (as much as 250ms or more on leak 2.2 ROM) between the moment that u touh the screen and the moment that the screen reacts to the touch. Is this a hardware problem that cannot be solved? Do u know anything about it? Sorry for before, i hope that now u understand what im trying to say :P Thanx again

ok, i dont know if u understood more from the explanation i gave above, but for what u say for the touchscreen (0<x<30ms) I see that something goes wrong. I dont remember this with any ROM i have tried.. 30ms is so little that it is not even noticeable :( hhhmmmm

All Liquid ROMS (the ones i mentioned that i tried) and more on 2.2 leak ROM: There is a lag in the touchscreen.

I´m on LCR 1.8.0.1 and I have no ("visible") lag or whatsoever. LauncherPRO is silk smooth and the browser, though not so smooth as Opera Mobile on my former i8910 (S60v5, OMAP 3 600MHz, 256Mb RAM) or iPhone´s browser, it´s fast *with images turned off* (or with images turned on if I let a while after the page completely loads).

In sum:

- on v2.1 I find stock somewhat slow (it isn´t smooth)

- LS 2.1 is way faster but still a little "heavy" (perhaps due no ramzswap)

- LCR 1.8.0.1 light and very very smooth

I didn´t try any Froyo but on LCR 1.8.0.1 I experience no TS lag and on LS2.1 I also don´t remember such thing.

Thanx for the info mmick. Truth is that i havent tried LS2.1 nor LCR. And 2.1 stock seemed quite smooth to me but only on light pages.. :P But the lag situation, i dont know what to think. I never had instant (like 'iphone' .... cant believe i said that) reaction from the screen when i touch it. There always seems to be a small but noticeable lag. With leaked 2.2 ROM maybe bigger.. Anyway, thanx for the note, ill see if someone else mentions anything, or i will make a new topic to get some more opinion

It may be something you installed or something about your SD card. Advice:

- do a full wipe to your phone

- backup important folders (not installed apps or games!) from your SD card and then wipe it (on Malez Recovery)

- install any Acer v2.1 or v2.2 and then a custom ROM of your preference

- BEFORE installing any of your apps/games open a webpage or play with the UI and see if you have any problem. You may install Launcher PRO or ADW if you prefer but do NOT install any other apps.

I suspect it is something that you installed previously on the phone and/or SD card. The phone is quite fast and lags -when exist- are minimal. What I would like to see improved is Android´s Web Browser: Opera Mobile (not the very bad Opera Mini for Android) on symbian or winmo is fabulous, fast and you can even have data compression. Unfortunately no Android web browser match it!

Just for comparison: a 1000Mhz Snapdragon can process 800x480 as fast as a 600Mhz OMAP 3 can process 640x360. My previous i8910 (OMAP 3) was iPhone´s smoothness level on Opera Mobile. A Desire 1000Mhz with Android´s Web Browser is not. I suspect it´s not the OS either so I can only blame the browser itself.

Hello LSteam n thanx for all the efford. Ive been checkin out the LS2.2 beta these days, i have to say that for a beta it runs very well, much faster than the original leak and quite solidly. I have noticed a few anomalies with laucherpro, the drawer programs menu stutters a lot, something I hadnt seen on Launcherpro b4. I had to replace with ADW, that normally runs less smooth that Lpro, but in this case has better results. I did thoroughly test the flash video, with different browsers/webpages/flash 10.1 versions. I had a few bad lock-ups and reboots but last night i got a good combination working. I unintalled the flash plugin, rebooted and installed latest version from the market (10.1.92.10). The results on dolphin hd were really amazing. I got southparkstudios.com episode videos working on HD (at least 480p on full screen), with little stutter and overall very watchable. I also noticed that i didnt get the usual slowdowns trying to skip backwards/forwards on the videos. Youtube performed very well too, with very little stutter. I dont now if it if the last version of flash that has improved so much or if it is the ROM that behaves so well. I just thought i should mention it, since its the best performance i have had with flash on android until now. Waiting for more beta/final version. Keep up the good work!

Hi LStream testing and really enjoying the rom so far, well done on all your hard work mate  .

One quick question what ddi you mean by optimized audio? Is there some form of audio boost included as I desperatley need it and had been considering jumping over to the community rom to try that specifically for it's audio boost feature.

HI LSSTEAM

may i ask you a question about multi task

Have you modified the rom auto kill some task loading in background?

e.g I started an app (have sound), i press HOME, it will be shutted down

Is this the app problem or ls 2.2 or 2.2 leak ROM problem?

I also seem to have this issue. Laucherpro/adw seems to restart when i go back to main screen. Also, sometimes switching back n forth between the market and browser (with no other programs) and the browser always reloads page.

I think it is related to threshold value

For example, if threshold value is 50M , it means some app will be killed if the avail mem below 50M.

It is so inconvenient if some background apps are always be killed

LSsteam please help to ans
