LS 2.2.0.0b2 - a pre-release just for test

My girlfriend just got a Samsung Galaxy i 9000 which so ludicrously out performed my 256M Liquid that it wasn't funny (and I've only had it a month). So I put the community ROM on it. That was fun especially as root user.

Filled with new confidence I then proceeded to ignore the warnings and failures when applying the leaked Froyo rom ROM the Acer Upload tool. I too fell foul of having to many things open. Result: first brick. Recovered with Males.

Next time it got further. I thought it had bricked but it hadnt. It worked. But MalesRecover was erased or damaged and no recovery possible at all with 3 button start. I decided that was not good and re-applied Malesrecovery over Froyo. That worked fine and I could then apply the new beta 2.2.

Its GREAT. How do I contribute?

Do I have to replace the base Acer ROM when the real Froyo comes out of will the later Community release do the trick

I don't think I have root on this do I? If not how do I get it

install morelocale2 from market, select Chinese..

Using AcerCJ.apk from android 1.6 ROM, the best CJ IME so far, the keys are bigger than XT9.

Install the apk from any file manager, and select the IME from "language and keyboard"

wipe cache, then run an nandroid backup.

it should work even using version 0.54

may i ask you a question about multi task

Have you modified the rom auto kill some task loading in background?

e.g I started an app (have sound), i press HOME, it will be shutted down

Is this the app problem or ls 2.2 or 2.2 leak ROM problem?

if you want to modify the value by yourself, install "AutoKiller" from the Market...

for my case, using the default value of LS2.2 is just fine..

seems you need to use it a few days.. and a few reboots to make the phone run more smoothly.

I don't know why, maybe related to the cache?

Try download TouchPal from Market. Chinese Input works great for me. Simple installation only. Some more it comes with 12-key phonepad as i'm not use to QWERTY keyboard.

This Beta ROM combination does not seem too Beta to me.

Everything I have tried thus far works

There is one small weirdness though. The screen seem to far prefer being in Landscape mode to Portrait mode. There is a significant bias toward displaying in Landscape. Is there any way to tweak the orientation sensing?

today i can internet with my 3G network, suddently it not works

I have checked and clarified with service provider, they replied no problem

now, i just re flash LS2.2, i can use the 3G network back.

The last action is downloading from market

And then replace the all fonts inside /system/fonts/ by stock AAP fonts.... :lol:

But remember the change the permission to rw-r-r-... which is the original setting...

i dont think this is related to LS... it just happens even on the non ls version. sometime after swtiching between 3g and wifi a few times, one or the other or both will stop working. just need a reboot and it will work again.....

This is a great ROM even though it's a BETA, still it's very stable and fast...

The Only feedback I've got back so far is the Live wallpapers "TAT..." which are stored on the SD card install ok but FC on selection...

And as TazzyD said it's quick to change to Landscape mode - a bit too sensitive i think..

Looking forward to the next release with the lastest Leak 4.503.00 as the base.

Sometimes, my phone cant goes out of sleep mode ! I have to put out the battery and restart the device !

just adding 1 point that some applications require to unmount SD card for installing, can you check this on da next coming ROM. It doesn't happen with the LEAK, but happen with da LS2.2 ROM.
