Guest shoarmabakpao Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 Hello, I got tomtom installed on my mobile device but it can't recognize the maps, I am using Be-Ne-Lux maps (for holland) and it always says; Can not find maps. Could someone be so kind on telling me step by step on installing tomtom? (mabey with download links if possible) Thank you! Jonathan
Guest Hansgruber Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 The map needs to be on the root folder of the Memory card!!
Guest shoarmabakpao Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 I did that, but it still fails to find the map :P
Guest Hansgruber Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 (edited) Are you sure you have the right map for it? what version do you use? you can use ttn v.7 with maps v.8 Try this v. http://rapidshare.com/files/418562560/ttn7...6_qvga_blue.cab Edited September 12, 2010 by Hansgruber
Guest ray1234 Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 the map directory must be on root, not the map files itself though. However, Tomtom has many versions. If you are sure the location of files is no problem, then you have to ensure the version of the map is compatible with your version of Tomtom. I remembered there are sites quoting the compatibility of different maps with different Tomtom versions, I forgot where though......
Guest tropolite Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 On the subject of Tomtom... I wonder if anyone has a solution to the maps being shown in greyscale? The map colours have been selected to be other than greyscale yet continue to show that way (v9.917) cheers
