Since i installed CM6.1 i have a lot of reboots. Normally it runs like a charm but when i'm playing around in the market, or at the sms, or sometimes in any other apps the phone reboots. I've testet to set the cpu speed to 528mhz but the problem is still alive...

I've flashed the CM6.1 like the how to...

Anyone have the same Problem?

It works!!!

I made this:

Copied my ringtone "Ring_Digital_02.ogg" to sdcard

Opened the file with WinVorbis and added the tag, saved the file overighting the one on the sdcard

replaced the one one /system/media/audio/ringtone using Root Explorer

Done!

Thank you very much!

Hello, is there an alternative to Root Explorer (as that one is a pay app)?

Thanks

There was an old thread about custom key layout, which also mentioned the wake-up trigger you were looking for

To make things quick, search for these keys within /system/usr/keylayout/surf_keypad.kl :

key 61

key 62

key 232

and then edit them as follows:

CALL WAKE_DROPPED

ENDCALL WAKE_DROPPED

DPAD_CENTER WAKE_DROPPED

Ok, I got it finally. But it is actually the opposite of what you remembered and it is in the /system/usr/keylayout/qwerty.kl file.

For future reference, I removed "WAKE_DROPPED" from key 61, key 62, and key 232 in qwerty.kl and got the result I wanted.

While I was in there, I also added "WAKE_DROPPED" to the two volume keys.

Rebooted and everything worked fine.

(You gotta love Root Explorer!)

I managed to somehow get touchpal, but for some reason, if I install the Spanish Language, it doesn't seems to get enabled (ie:the language is still greyed out on Touchpal Options, and can't change the language directly from the keyboard as I did on FLB1.7).

Sorry for the trouble

This ROM is great!

One by one the remaining minor problem are getting solved.

It's stable. It's fast (with an OC of just 614 MHz I've got a Linpack score over four). With some simple SetCPU tweaking, I'm increasing battery life. What's not to love?

Ok, coming back down to earth, there are still a few annoyances to work on, but it's still worth it, even with these little nagging problems. And it would be so very painful to have to go back to an older ROM now.

Which Touchpal.apk are your using, the one from the Market or the one out of Pulse 2.1?

I'm using a copy of the apk from the 2.1 rom. It seems to be working in all ways like it did in 2.1. If it's not what you have, maybe it will help: Touchpal (Ignore that it is called "Chinese"; you just want to extract the Touchpal.apk and ignore the Chinese language packs.)

If it is what you have, then I have no idea why things aren't working.

Good luck.

I have the same problem.

Sim contacts will not imported.

May be thats why I'm use a xsim unlocker.

ciao,

calculate

SIM contacts are not imported automatically, you have to go to Contacts -> MENU -> Import/Export -> Import from SIM card.

That's what I am doing, but it says no contacts on SIM. Just like the TRE 2.1 rom did. Contacts can be copied when i used the FLB roms.

If you have a nandroid backup of FLB, you can always restore it (after backing up your current CM), export the contacts to the SD card, then restore the CM backup and import from SD card.

I have all my contacts on Google Contacts, so I never have to worry about contacts when I have to wipe my phone, etc...

THANK YOU, THANK YOU,THANK YOU

God knows how many differents combinations I tried, but using the APK you posted+REBOOT+Spanish TouchPal+REBOOT, now everything seems to works normally.

Will keep trying Froyo, but so far, everything is better.

Again, thank you SO MUCH!!!

Hi,

please help me, what does it mean, wifi mac is incorrect? Does it mean, that it displays an other mac address, or it changes the mac addres after every reboot, or what?

So, the reason is, that I have a place, where the wifi works for a given mac address. I can change, but of course, not daily.

Thanks.

Hey,

Kind of a silly question, but a lot of the highlights in menus are coloured orange, is there anyway to change this?

Other than that I love it

Thanks!

I have a little problem with SetCPU; Sometimes it just loses it's superuser permissions or at least I think that's the problem, this makes the phone really confused and drains the battery like it was the Niagara falls or something.

To fix it I have to enter SetCPU which makes it get a hold of it's permissions again.

How do I create a more permanent fix for this?

Hello,

i wanted to install some apps via apk because the apps aren't find in the market. The insatllation doesn't finish. So i record the installation process with aLogcat.

That's the result.

E/PackageManager( 1324): Package com.shazam.android requires unavailable shared library com.google.android.maps; failing!

So i google this problem and found a thread on XDA Developer. It has something to do with the gapps and a missing library. I didn't find a solve.

XDA Developer

Any ideas?

I'm not thrilled with Gallery 3D. It's slow, and it's flakey. Is there an alternative, something less "fancy" and more consistent? Something like an older version of Gallery that still works in Froyo?
