Guest bobbyphoenix Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 WANT!!! If it supports AT&T 3G, of course. It should since it's a quad-band phone. Frequencys are: GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz. It should work on both AT&T and T-Mobile in the states. Assuming it is unlocked of course.
Guest bobbyphoenix Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Same. But this version is 900/2100 3G bands as it says in the first post. Hopefully they make a North American version. This is my dream phone. Those frequencys are for the "High Speed" bands of HSPA/WCDMA. The regular 2G and 3G are Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz.
Guest HustlinDaily Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 (edited) Pretty sure GSM/GPRS/EDGE is not 3G. If it said GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS, I would agree. Edited September 16, 2010 by HustlinDaily
Guest kennethchia Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 i hate that 1230 mAh battery,i wish htc update to 14xx mAh battery... sorry for my bad english
Guest bobbyphoenix Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Pretty sure GSM/GPRS/EDGE is not 3G. If it said GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS, I would agree. Right. Sorry. I did mean only 2G with those. After I read up on it I realized it. 3G and "4G like" speeds won't work in the states.
Guest bobbyphoenix Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Right. Sorry. I did mean only 2G with those. After I read up on it I realized it. 3G and "4G like" speeds won't work in the states. From Gizmodo: "Despite initial thoughts that these phones would be non-US launches, we heard from HTC US, who confirmed the Desire HD will be "shipping in North America later this year."
Guest HustlinDaily Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 LATER THIS YEAR? YES! Hopefully its AT&T. Tho I did read somewhere that Verizon is getting a phone called the HTC Merge which looks awfully similar to this one.
