Guest introkun Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Thank you for your reply, but first i have to put official rom 2.1 then i have to put flb 1.5 and then 2.2? or from official 2.1 i put flb 2.2? sorry but i am new to android ........... thanks again Just do nandroid backup and install new Froyo.
Guest Hubert FONGARNAND Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 I installed flb2.0, it was fine, but when installing gapps, it failed with wrong digest for OneTimeInitializer.apk. Flashed other gapps, it works fine. No market issue. Same problem... is it possible to have a good gapps zip?
Guest Simon O Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 (edited) I'll upload a fixed version. I forgot about people using Amon_RA which requires correct digest. Ok fixed. sorry for the trouble again. Edited September 15, 2010 by flibblesan
Guest The Innocent X Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 (edited) What does swapiness actaully do/mean? A higher swappiness figure means that android will be more likely to swpa memory out to disk when it thinks that the memory is not going to be used immediately. This means that there is more memory for new things, which is good. However, if you are too aggressive with swapping out, then you will swap out things and then need them again soon afterwards, causing slowdown as you copy back in the memory swapped out. The number is a function of the speed of the media which holds the swap, and also how many apps are generally running at once, and how close to the memory limits you are ( I would guess anyway). Because SD is slow (relatively) the swappiness should be lower than on a desktop machine IMO. Oh, and possibly video playback might not like a high swappiness value, because you really don't want to swap out a video app while it's playing. Edited September 15, 2010 by The Innocent X
Guest Richard van Nieuwenhuizen Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Just installed FROYO. For now everything looks good. Q: Is TOUCHPAL.ZIP from v2.1 also useable for FROYO. Missing Dutch language on FROYO.

Sh4d0w940 there is a new touchpal (v4). Is that what we are talking about? I would guess 4 would support froyo since it was only released in the last few months. http://android.modaco.com/content/software...13853/touchpal/

Guest Sh4d0w940 Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Does anyone know if this can work over the december update? Because it'll fit easily on the old partition sizes. Sh4d0w940

Guest Sh4d0w940 Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 (edited) No idea. But you want to try it :) I will, maybe it's usefull for people who don't like A2SD. Edit: It's working! Edit 2: It gets even better :( I didn't flash a rom in a long time so i forgot to do a wipe but apps are working fine!! XD Edit 3: The rom is not very stable, rebooted already and wifi is not working. I'll just update with official 2.1 and then do a full wipe. Sh4d0w940 Edited September 15, 2010 by Sh4d0w940
Guest Sh4d0w940 Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 What ext version should I choose? Ext2 ext3 or ext4? Sh4d0w940
Guest cleguevara Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Edit 3: The rom is not very stable, rebooted already and wifi is not working. I'll just update with official 2.1 and then do a full wipe. no working wifi, Market and GMail are most probably the results of the missing wipe. After wipe+reinstall everything seems faily stable for me (except the known issues mentioned in the first post).
Guest The Innocent X Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 What ext version should I choose? Ext2 ext3 or ext4? Sh4d0w940 No benefit in anything more than ext2 AFAIK.
Guest biron_w Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 It's good to see a froyo zip up,but I think i'm gonna wait til it is more stable before flashing.
Guest flip360 Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 thanks flibble for the update, everything is smooth except the non working stuff you mentioned  Cheers and keep up the good work
Guest goce.nakov Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Is it normal after installing any app, the phone is rebooting from the android on skateboard logo animation?
Guest cleguevara Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 I think found a bug: the home/back button can no longer be used to exit apps via long-pressing it

I dont think so :) No reboots for me  Works great and very stable :) Great work, Flibb! :( I think found a bug: the home/back button can no longer be used to exit apps via long-pressing it And the red button action can't be set any more :( (or is it just me?) But I don't think that's a bug, that's just how it is Edited September 15, 2010 by Fusion0306
Guest daveycarter Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Just loaded FLB 2.0 over my 1.5, which I have been running since its release. Initially looking really great and fast!!!! However, I have no Market icon to enable me to load programs, am I missing something?????
Guest flip360 Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 instal gapps that flib provided on the first page

I don't have an unlock screen. When my phone is in sleep mode (stand by), when I press the power button (short press) or menu button, it comes right to the homescreen, no unlock/sound on-off screen :) Is it just me?
Guest tomdubs Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 And the red button action can't be set any more  (or is it just me?) But I don't think that's a bug, that's just how it is the option is in the spare parts app however my lock screens not showing up on this but did on tom g's alphas, does anyone else have this?
