gkFMRadio, fm radio integrated with s2u2 (Done?)

Hi all!

The commute have started again and I have had some time to play...

If you are using S2U2 from http://www.ac-s2.com/ I have something that might interest you.

I have made a small radio that integrates into s2u2 just as s2p does.

The problem with fooling S2U2 the way I do, is that I'm forced to program using c++ win32 API so the UI will look kind of basic.

prerequisites:

Samsung mobile sdk 2

S2U2 (http://www.ac-s2.com/)

usage:

Install cab

start gkFMradio from start menu.

version 005

can save stations into the button rows.

if a saved station is selected you switch between the saved stations in S2U2. (otherwise scanning up/down instead)

If you want to, you can have "album art" for each frequency. Set the imageFolder string in the registry at HKCU\Software\GK_Apps\gkFMRadio to the folder where you have placed jpg-files named after the frequency*100. For example

imageFolder = \My Storage\temp\gkFMRadio

9930.jpg is used for 99.30MHz

should support QVGA, VGA, WVGA in both landscape and portrait mode. (so it should work on earlier phones)

version 008

bug-fix, Now resets albumart wallpaper at exit.

this ought to work on any samsung windows mobile device that have a fm-radio.

you people that have downloaded, does it work for your device?

Is it worth the time to expand functionality?

As it is now its quite good enough for me with no UI, so if I get no feedback it will stop here.

good app!!!, it would be a great idea to use the next/prev button to nav through saved stations, and perhaps a bar to slice dial with your finger,

1, You should be able to see album art if you can se it from s2p, I have not tested with the large battery charge in s2u2. Please try and report back.

2, whatever dimensions that works for s2p should be OK, I dont know the limits but on my device I have from 200x200 up to 1000x1000

1.It doesnt work while charging, i confirm

One problem is that if i enable album art and then close radio, it changes my original wallpaper of s2u. That's a little bit annoying...

Great, then I have something to do on my way home, I will look into how I leave the s2u2 settings while closing down.

I have not noticed that behavior, but then I have not used the albumart functionality that much...

(do you close using the exit menu item or by forcefully closing with x-button enhancer such as qmenu/xtask or a taskmanager?)

For me not working...

I have win 6.5.3 (JF3 ROM) and S2U2 1.41, when I launch gkFMRadioand then S2U2 i can't see any difference in S2U2 screen... I have Samsung SDK and enabled S2P controlls in S2U2 config...

Sure, it probably could be done.

But I will not do it, I do not want to undercut AC in any way. I think $4 is almost the same as free for s2p... :-)
