Guest starkos Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 With 0.51 dont work for me. I see the original graphic Android logo (not the 2.2 Android text), and freeze. With fastboot flash , with .zip.... Can you upload the boot.img that you flashed and have on your phone currently
Guest BigBearMDC Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 SetCPU says 780MHz though... LIEES!!! Wierd... You have a Pulse or Huawei branded U8220/U8230? Maybe that's it. Uhm LoL? That's weird, my driver says 760? Cool though B)
Guest DanWilson Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Uhm LoL? That's weird, my driver says 760? Cool though B) Any better way to tell? Like something in the phone?

Guest DanWilson Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 T-Mobile Pulse (U8220) Weird.. I don't know then. Maybe your download is corrupting?
Guest hungary Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 (edited) Can you upload the boot.img that you flashed and have on your phone currently http://www9.zippyshare.com/v/21620468/file.html Thanks! Weird.. I don't know then. Maybe your download is corrupting? No. I think the problem is, im using my custom kernel (swap enabled on stock Tom G 0.51) Edited September 25, 2010 by hungary
Guest flip360 Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 (edited) Its working for me  780 Mhz here and all the steppings Edited September 25, 2010 by flip360
Guest BigBearMDC Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Oh my gawd ... I'm right now running FroYo with the stock CPU frequency ... HELL it is sloooow! I didn't ever notice that the Pulse is that much faster with 760MHz

Guest BigBearMDC Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Loolz. Well, imagine it with 780MHz B) Fixed that, mine is now running at 780 too
Guest DanWilson Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Fixed that, mine is now running at 780 too B) B) Any Linpack scores? Or the other one?
Guest starkos Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 http://www9.zippyshare.com/v/21620468/file.html Thanks! No. I think the problem is, im using my custom kernel (swap enabled on stock Tom G 0.51) Not sure what happened to your ramdisk img but it was huge! I had to repack it so the boot.img would be small enough.. If this doesn't work then I'm not sure what's wrong, but you said you compiled your own kernel so it would make sense if you do it your self. It's very easy, all you got to do is change one file in the kernel source & I can upload that for you. Anyway, give it a try & let me know...
Guest Epic-Emodude Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Fixed that, mine is now running at 780 too  Is it stable at this kind of speed? I dont really want to use it untill its stable, so how long should I wait untill its considered stable? (e.g. what kind of up time without crashing are you looking for before you say its stable?)
Guest flip360 Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 (edited) stable enough for me, BTW, howz things going on the other oc additions BB? Edited September 25, 2010 by flip360

Well, I've had it booted for a while, and no reboots, no force closes, and I tried the stress test in SetCPU and it worked ok for a while (as in I cancelled it cos I was bored)

I have SetCpu 1.5.4. How do I set it up? Someone help, please
Guest AntonioPT Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Has anyone noticed any performance improvements? What's the Linpack score with overclock enabled?

Someone help, please  First get the latest SetCpu from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505419, & when you open the app choose automatic set up B)

Someone help, please  Open SetCPU, tell it to auto select the speeds, drag the top bar to the far right, and the bottom bar to a reasonable value (I have 528MHz)
Guest gusthy Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 (edited) Has anyone noticed any performance improvements? What's the Linpack score with overclock enabled? Opera renders way faster. Strangely enough, Linpack is around the same. When I change the governor to performance, SetCPU's own benchmarks show a big difference. Edited September 25, 2010 by gusthy
Guest AntonioPT Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Opera renders way faster. Strangely enough, Linpack is around the same. I read somewhere that Opera doesn't have zoom, is that true?
Guest Sh4d0w940 Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 I read somewhere that Opera doesn't have zoom, is that true? It has 2 zoom levels, overview and normal. Sh4d0w940
Guest Epic-Emodude Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Here's another Froyo OC kernel but with 750 & 780 speeds added. Not been tested but should work, let me know either way though... Is this the same as the kernel in FLB-mod 2 but with overclock? If I flash it will I keep my A2SD and swap as they are?
