Guest psych0t1c
So, I got my Desire a few days back. I updated to 2.2 with the O2 downloader. So of course it is unrooted and still branded. I would now like to go and try custom cooked ROMS. However, I already have quite a bit of stuff on the phone, namely contacts and appts. I do not want/like to rely on Google Services to back those up, and also I want a backup of the settings. However, being unrooted it seems I cannot Titanium backup. Googling around it says there are no safe root procedures for Froyo on the SLCD version of HTC Desire. So did I maneuver myself into a corner? How can I save settings and existing apps fully so I can easily play around with new ROMs? BTW, are the kitchen cooked ROMs fully localised (german, english, etc.) A quick pointer would be much appreciated.
