Guest LordSith Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 Another phone on our line was eligible for an upgrade, so I used it to upgrade my phone to a Droid. I loved my Omnia II, but after getting it replaced (because of it constantly going into sleep mode and not being able to wake it up) the new phone has been doing the exact same thing. I have gone over everything with Verizon tech support, and even installed custom ROM's onto it and it still keeps going to the sleep of death. This happens at least 7 to 10 times a day. I end up missing calls and texts (when it goes into the SOD mode, I never get any texts sent to it, even after resetting it) So I just ordered my Droid Incredible to see how that goes. So long WinMo, it's been a great ride.
Guest bmt10 Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 (edited) I can't believe they still are managing to sell Incredibles, they threw the low class Eris battery in a phone with a power hungry processor and bright screen yet still after people have had months to learn what a failure that was more will still buy it today. Can the battery drain be any worse than the O2? I have to charge my O2 at least 3 times a day.
Guest bmt10 Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 Can the battery drain be any worse than the O2? I have to charge my O2 at least 3 times a day. That battery has less capacity then the O2 and the incredible both has a brighter screen and more powerful processor. If you used your phone enough to have to charge it three times a day then you are going to have fun with the incredible....
Guest xlightwaverx Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 Might as well plug that included car charger right into your arse, and keep that baby plugged in all day... That battery has less capacity then the O2 and the incredible both has a brighter screen and more powerful processor. Guest bmt10 Posted September 22, 2010 Report Posted September 22, 2010 Might as well plug that included car charger right into your arse, and keep that baby plugged in all day... :) Seriously though I keep a tekeon mp1800 in my pocket and when the battery gets low and I'm out and about I just take the little retractable cord from my pocket and plug it in to my phone, I use a bodyglove case with clip snapped onto the outside of my pocket so it's real simple...I think that's pretty much the same as your concept though
Guest jaycarl Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 Never had the SOD issue once in 6 months. Haven't even heard people having this issue on the i920. You must be a seriously unlucky O2 owner. If you had the O2 replaced 3 times within 2 or 3 months you could have got a Brand New O2. If you still had problems then you are definitely the most unlucky O2 owner by far.

I've looked into it, and I didn't see much of others having that issue, but I didn't dare try to get another new O2. LOL
Guest jaycarl Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 actually you can get a free upgrade to a new phone with vzw, i speak from experience multiple times Can you share you experience please? How do you get a new device without going the multi-fru way? I'm just unlucky then. Each time, it was a brand new phone (not a refurb). In about a year when Android is more equal to WM in functionality and customization I might jump ship as well. Until then my O2 should serve me well (fingers crossed;).
