Yep, i'm pretty confident saying I can rebuild images.

Just need @koush to fix a few things and I reckon we're pretty set for fun! :)

Does it have a trackpad on this phone?

Haha, being upside down isn't a problem, more of a problem is I couldn't click anything. That's alright tho, it was just a repack of the Hero recovery to prove the concept! :-D

I've sent Koush everything he needs, hopefully he can rustle us up a proper recovery.

I didn't even realise that this phone doesn't have a trackball or anything like that. hm

Doesn't look like you'd need one w that fancypants screen...

I just got one from the orange shop, they weren't even aware they had one!

Wasn't too happy when I told him to check the back, now that I have it feels nice than the pulse(mine went for repair:( ) won't mind getting rid of my pulse and sticking to this phone, just need to get it unlocked to other networks!

So will keep an eye this thread!

Probably not but I've been so used to using a trackball in recovery images.

Edit: Noticed that the new HTC devices don't have trackpads either. So I guess they are no longer useful

Sounds like a good phone, tempted

Can I just confirm that this will not run FLASH though?

Just bought a Samsung galaxy Apollo but im pretty tempted to sell and get this once unlocked, does it have multitouch?

Should be able to run Flash lite but probably not the full flash as the CPU is only ARM11 MSM7227.

Very good question. Paul?

Yes!

I will download the tool to check if it has the same issue as my HTC Desire!

Yes, i'm multitouch zooming around in Google Maps no problem.

OMG

This seriously just gets better.

Weirdly only the 'back' key seems to be backlit on my device (in red)!

It looks like all the Orange crap will be very easy to remove...

Same on mine!

I like that on this phone if you hold the phone horizontal the display rotates accordingly!

Just tested multitouch, it also has the same issue as the HTC Desire and Nexus one.

Alright, so that's a pretty decent half day's output I reckon.

I'll post some pics and a full review in the next few days.

I'm poking around looking at removing the Orange stuff, odexing etc. etc., hopefully Koush will have a recovery for us soon and we can really start to play.

Very satisfied with my £99 phone, a SIM unlock would be nice tho...

Stock Linpack is pretty slow, around 3.75!

P

Sounds about right. Pulse was only 2.38 and getting 3.8 running Froyo and JIT. I'd actually say that 3.75 is good for stock.

385 on Quadrant.

This baby could do with Froyo I reckon, lots of optimisations with JIT and lots of RAM!

Now that's a good score. Yeah this really would be nice with Froyo.

What is the RAM on this phone?
