Guest BlackMagician Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 Anyone else noticed that the EXIF date on photos taken with Android 2.2 is always wrong? Mine are always showing as being taken on 8 December 2002 at 12:00!! I reverted to 2.1 now just to check and it works properly. The problem occurs with both leaks, and Cyanogen..
Guest xian1243 Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 This will be fixed in v1.2 CyanogenMod 6.1.0, hopefully. I've added some new GPS libraries to the build.
Guest BlackMagician Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 Thanks Xian. But do you think the defect should be present on the two 2.2 leaks? That's really weird.
Guest xian1243 Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 That is indeed weird :/ I'll look into it, but no promises
Guest BlackMagician Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 Just gone through reinstalling the 2.2 leaks again - cause I'm a glutton for punishment  And I can confirm that the problem exists on those too. It's driving me nuts. I usually import the pics i take and they get filed by the EXIF date. Now they're all going into the same effin' December 2002 folder!!
Guest BlackMagician Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 Is there any fix for this? No, and noone seems to be bothered about it, either. I keep hoping maybe Acer fix it in one of their leaks.

I have also noticed this when I upgraded to Froyo on my Acer Liquid E. I am very disappointed that the Exif is incorrect as I base my downloads on EXIF info - I have photos from both 2.1 and 2.2 and the 2.1 photos have correct Exif info. How do we encourage Acer to fix this? Is this Acer specific?
Guest HustlinDaily Posted December 31, 2010 Report Posted December 31, 2010 According to the LCR bugtracker, malez says that this issue will be fixed on LCR 2.0 (which should be releasing any day now)- http://code.google.com/p/acer-liquid-commu...Owner%20Summary
