My MarketUpdater.apk is only 4kb. I've tried to replace it with a 10KB MarketUpdater.apk but it won't go over it. Any ideas?

Theres issues with servers again. There was last night too.

Is there anyway to check server status? If the servers are down I've just down a factory reset for the third time for nothing:(

I used an alternative method, I used UniversalAndroot-1.6.2-beta5 to root the device, and then replaced the app directory with the blade.app.r1 package...

Audio recorder works fine, and I'm able to download stuff from the market place without any problems.

Can you please explain how to do this? I can't find the blade.app.r1 package. If I replace the app dir will I lose all my apps? Will I have to do a hardware reset?

Also I can't login to Google Talk. I get :

Google Talk failed to login. If this is a Google Apps account, confirm that Chat is enabled for this account.

Had the same problem after a couple of roms. Just went back into the clockwork mod and cleared the cache and dalvik cache and the problem is resolved. Symptons for me were googletalk failing to authenticate and all marketplace downloads failing

cracked it after much messing around. I re loaded google talk and two other google things onto my SD card then ran them. Worked a treat. Cant recall where i got the google apps from but they were online.

I can report that a 'fix' for this issue is to upgrade to a later ROM image, as described elsewhere on this forum. :-) After borking my Blade, I decided I'd nothing to lose so am now very happy on Android 2.2. It was very, very easy to do and the only problem was reinstalling all the software I'd downloaded. If you keep a list of what you want, you'll have no problems I'm sure.
