Guest tom619 Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 Ok i just rang the orange activate sim automated number and it said that my sim is already being activated and they'll send a text to confirm it. Only thing is i havent removed the sim as im going to sell it, so is there any other way i can check to see that the sim is active?
Guest mifran Posted October 26, 2010 Report Posted October 26, 2010 my girl friend has been asking about a android phone for ages and today i read all the posts about the san francisco so i phoned the orange sales number and asked " hello are you still doing the san francisco special deals" he asked me for my phone number and i gave him an orange sim number that came with a phone 12 months ago but was never used after looking it up he asked me for my details to register the sim and then came back with a price of £79.95 deal done delivery tomorrow mifran
Guest grogan197 Posted October 26, 2010 Report Posted October 26, 2010 People have said on HUKD that the cashback will get declined if you use the NUS with it, so it's one or the other Just had my cashback validate through quico and used the NUS discount too. Total cost of £88 including £10 topup yay!

Guest dadashi Posted October 28, 2010 Report Posted October 28, 2010 can you get the orange costumer discount at an orange shop?
Guest GadgetRepairs Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 I've just spoken to 4 different people at Orange Sales, all of them said that the PAYG sim has to have been topped up with at least £30 in the past 3 months to be eligible for a loyalty discount. I was trying to use a sim which was registered a over year ago but only ever topped up once. They also wouldn't offer me anything for my 11-month old Orange contract.

Guest ballist1x Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 i tried with my dads old PAYG number... but it wasnt registered in his name, and thusly i failed the security info.. so i said, hang on, i have another number, and reeled off my mams orange PAYG number.. they asked me for my name... Mr xzx i said...they said no, so i said, okay MRS xzx...they agreed that was the name of the account holder but that was not me. i said im trying to order it on behalf of my mum - they said she had to be with me by the phone...i said come on my mum doesnt know about this im trying to get as a present for her. they used the 'data protection' act spiel on me and could only converse with her... in the end i got my mum to call and she got the discount. i recieved the phone 1 day later. £79. My question is how do i 'get' the £10 credit? i registered the top up card that came with the phone to the sim...but no credit whatsoever, so ive thrown my contract orange sim in there for the time being as i have 500mb a month data bolt on...but id like to get my £10 worth ideally.. any help?

You need to ring up orange and get the new sim that comes with the phone registered and the topup will go on to that within 72 hour. But it has took people up to 4 week and alot of phone calls to get the £10 topup. Edited November 11, 2010 by deanhiggins2

And the watch is made of plastic, very lightweight, and of dubious quality. The best part of the gift box was the box itself lol

Guest HMZX Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 i think this phone will probably get cheaper nearer to christmas so im holding out until then...
Guest Polythene Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 Can someone confirm for me that if I quote an existing number to get the discount, nothing will happen to that number, it will stay connected and in use? Thanks B)
