Got my sis (who's been on Orange PAYG for 5 hrs) got me one with £30 discount, no questions asked. She had a PhoneFund which was £10 towards any new phone but the gave the full £30 anyway.

Although I've got an SF myself, I'm now thinking of getting my girlfriend one as a Christmas present - this would give the added benefit of regaining use of my own phone as she keeps nicking it to play Angry Birds and other games!

The number is 0800, so from a Landline it won't cost you a penny not sure about mobile costs. As for paying for the phone, I used a Visa Debit, but they will take credit cards to.
