Guest fifd2005 Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 Thanks to Maan76 and aldamon ............ I CAN CONFIRM THAT THIS WORKS CORRECTLY, i have been using it for 3 days now with no issues and i actually like this menu ALOT BETTER seeing as how it has a built in ram cleaner, screen lock, reboot, etc. Thanks for the usefull tips How much RAM do you get back Thank you
Guest tedkord Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 A quick question - this simply removes the stock windows menu, and installs an aoo that acts as it, right? Now, I use SPB MS3.5, not Titanium - so, could I just remove the stock menu, and not use Quick Menu? Since I access everything from MS3? Ah well, I'll try it the way you posted, and think about trying it without QM. Thanks!
Guest plguzman Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 (edited) Here is the version for WM 6.5. You get 9-10 MB back. Great tweak. Disable Start Menu WM 6.5 Edited September 28, 2010 by plguzman
Guest HAL_9000 Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 Quick menu is very interesting app. But its created for old WM 6.1(too small icons, no kinetic scrolling or selecting programs by sliding and some small bugs). It would be great if will be new release for 6.5 or 6.5.3....
Guest dani_carrabba Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 qmenu is great except that it always overwrite short cube button  i want to use cube button as ok/close but evrytime i start qmenu its change into start menu button and makes the device hang for a minute B)
Guest SkoreK89 Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 I use Win 6.5.3, so i have start menu (quick menu) at the top, and the icon at the bottom. How can I get after pressing the Start 6.5.3 list put forward at the bottom? Sorry for my eng  Cheers!
Guest GunnarKarlsson Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 qmenu is great except that it always overwrite short cube button  i want to use cube button as ok/close but evrytime i start qmenu its change into start menu button and makes the device hang for a minute B) check if you can go into qmenu options and disable "register win key of device", does that make it behave better? //Gunnar
Guest urphonesux Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 @ pgulzman that is the same cab i have posted in the rar file "dani_carrabba Posted Today, 04:26 qmenu is great except that it always overwrite short cube button i want to use cube button as ok/close but evrytime i start qmenu its change into start menu button and makes the device hang for a minute" this is the reason that i got rid of the start button all together. anytime that i would press it the phone would freeze for a few seconds and i could never find a way to get qmenu to launch when i pressed the start so i just decided to make the cube button a hardware start button with a short press. Sorry but i i never tried it on any other button. I just wanted to make sure that i told you guys to map it to hard key because i had a problem where i had no way to launch anything after installing the arto start remover. My start menu and button was gone so all i could do is call and receive calls. In case someone else did that the only way i found to get out of it was to put a qmenu shortcut in the startup menu through activesync and then restart the phone and the menu will be up so that you can access your settings accordingly @HAL_9000 what bugs are you experiencing? i am using this on amdzero's latest lite rom which is 6.5x. the way i have my start menu setup none of my folders need to scroll.they all show up on their ONE level and are big enough for me to easily push with a finger
Guest urphonesux Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 (edited) updated post with current screenshots i settle anywhere between 88-95mb now you dont see that in the screenshots because the phone was usb tethered to mymobiler to take the screenshots Edited September 28, 2010 by urphonesux
Guest plguzman Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 (edited) Oh, sorry urphonesux, you said 6.5.3, no 6.5. Anyway... :-) qmenu is a great program for everybody not using titanium. For example I use SPB3.5, and I don't use the start menu. So if it's not finger friendly is totally irrelevant to me. Also I was able to change the button assignment (I have ArkSwitch in my cube button). I used the button CP in Settings, no Samsung Settings, dunno if that makes a difference or not. I wasn't able to change the assignment when I had the NRGZ28 ROM installed, but now I have a lite H1 ROM and works perfectly. 80MB @ boot with 15MB PP, SPB 3.5, MobileSense y Phon ex. As I said, great tweak. Edited September 28, 2010 by plguzman

Guest urphonesux Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 (edited) im not sure if you can uninstall it you can try tho  the only way to get rid of it may be a HARD reset after opening apps and such its at least 10mb and on the plus side i dont have to leave my today screen to do ANYTHING on my phone anymore the only thing i have on my today is a google search box thats automatically tied into my default web browser add quick menu and multi tasking is a breeze Edited September 29, 2010 by urphonesux

Guest Namar Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 Thanks man. This replaces the 'Startmenu' program that I have been missing since I upgraged from wm6.1 to 6.5/6.5.x

Guest drorcun Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 use wm 6.1 instead.. so you have more ram than this.. so useless for me. don't understand the main idea..
Guest urphonesux Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 the reason is simply the fact that i hate my stylus, so even though its built into the i920 i never use it
Guest drorcun Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 the reason is simply the fact that i hate my stylus, so even though its built into the i920 i never use it ok i tried this.. removed start menu and removed today and installed spb mobile shell (not qmenu). now it's like spb MS is my operating system and i have more than 100 mb ram at start up with twu's jh2 lite..
