on winmo 6.5 ...... i've tried before is ..... after a flash .... i move everything in \windows\startmenu to a temporary folder ..... leaving only empty program folder which can't be deleted i think (or don't delete coz windows will hmmm default to some other folder for program icons )

after which moving them back .....after a reboot when you tap startmenu ...... only icon that appears will be TODAY icon ..... program icons won't show anymore ...... but in SPB the programs still show up. Not absolutely sure but this might save some memory as the icons won't load up in memory when start button is tapped.

Hey guys I have a problem. Quick menu keeps overwriting the middle hardware button to start menu. Tried every option in the settings and still keeps making the middle button open the start menu. I want to use that button for something else... :)

Anyone know how to fix it?

In my experince S2U2 is great but it slightly reduces battery life and also has quite big memory usage. Give Pocket Shield a try... I know its not freeware but hell that software does really worth those 7 bucks :)

BTW, the reason why I do not want QuickMenu on the hardware button is that I want to use other menu program on it... but still want to have the QuickMenu as a backup menu

Now that you have pointed it out I too have that problem sometimes.

I have not been able to find out what causes it ,but I am also using twu's jh2 lite.

Hi! For quite some time I use - Arto Start menu Remover.cab, but after several restarts, cease to have effect?! RAM again as much as before installation of this *.cab. I use custom ROM with WM 6.5.3, does anyone have the same problem and discovered there a solution?

Sorry for my bad English!

I saw this last time I used the start menu remover. Now, I had also used the X-button re-enable, and had gone into the registry and re-enabled the start menu button to show up, even though it didn't do anything. When my RAM dripped back down again, I tried the star menu button, and the start menu was BACK! So, I ununstalled the Arto cab, then reinstalled and the ram went back up, and the menu was disabled again. Then I added the X and start back again, and since then it's worked.

I don't know how the start menu got added back, since even uninstalling doesn't bring it back. Reenable the start menu button in the registry, soft reset and try the button. If the start menu pops up, you need to uninstall and reinstall the Arto start menu remover. cab

I'm using S2U2, but only the caller ID screen. I have all other functions disabled - will this cause me RAM and battery drain?

Thanks man!

This procedure, I found her and I use it too. :P My question was, whether someone has done with the problem completely.

ive never had the button disappearing issues or reappearing start menu. To this day the only way i can access the old start menu is by going into PIE and clicking the start button there.

Tedkord as far as s2u2's caller id im not sure. When i was using it i went all out with animated wallpapers and everything so for me the drain was immediately noticeable. If u havent noticed any drain with the way you use it then it should be good

I found where the problem comes ...

If you use the function "Auto Clean" part of "SKTools" then appears, otherwise everything is OK.

Greetings!
