Guest yug0 Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 I had the same problem. I created another APN as follows: Name:O2 MMs APN: wap.o2.co.uk Proxy: http://wap.o2.co.uk Port: 9201 Username: o2wap Password: password Server: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002 MMSC: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002 MMS Proxy: 193.113.200.195 MMS Port: 8080 MCC: 234 MNC: 10 APN Type: MMS This APN will not be selectable. It will get your mms working though I reckon. These settings worked fine for me on an 02 simplicity 12 month
Guest Davie1888 Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 i'm on 02 simplicity 12 month as well, not working for me :)
Guest Davie1888 Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 You on the modaco rom? I am m8, tried it before and after putting r2 on.
Guest yug0 Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 the only other difference I see is I have a lowercase mms in the apn type
Guest Davie1888 Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 Tried that as well m8, will just have to wait and see if a fix comes out for it.
Guest rinkrat Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 Tried that as well m8, will just have to wait and see if a fix comes out for it. Not sure if this will help. I am on giffgaff and set up the single APN as recommended for both GPRS and MMS and could not send or receive MMS although GPRS worked fine. I have now removed MMS settings from the active APN and set up the MMS settings as a seperate APN. Voila can send and receive MMS and the GPRS works too. Hope this may help those on O2 !! Regards Rinkrat

Has anyone had MMS working on any network other than Orange? Edit: OK, yes they have. In that case could they upload their /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/telephony.db, please? Guest zuccster Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 whats the easiest way to get this file? If you have ADB installed: adb pull /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/telephony.db Otherwise, using your favorite file manager (Astro?) to copy it to the sdcard. I think I'm right in saying this will require a rooted device.

If anyone can get this working it would be greatly appreciated ! I seem to remember that to get MMS working on the pulse someone ended up having to edit the telephony.db file for us to transfer onto our Pulses ?
