Guest heedthebau Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 First post, new to smart phones, in fact mobiles with more than a simple call and text function so please excuse the stupid question. Can anyone confirm what I now believe to be true is that you can only send MMS with data enabled. I can text without data enabled but I can only send / recieve MMS with data enabled. Thanks in advance. Great site for a total noob to smart phones.

Guest yannye Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 hi, can I ask which o2 simplicity are you using? the normal simplicity or simplicity for smart phone?
Guest thebodger Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 O2 Pay and Go & GPRS Settings After three days of messing about:- Download APN Backup & Restore from the market and install. Delete all the installed APN's. Navigate to settings/Wireless & Networks/Mobile Networks/Access Point Names. You will find it blank. Click on Menu & create a new APN with the following credentials :- Name:O2 APN: payandgo.o2.co.uk Proxy: Port: Username: payandgo Password: password Server: MMSC: MMS: MMS: MCC: 234 MNC: 10 Authentication type : none APN Type: default Don't forget to hit Menu & Save when you have entered the details. Then, create another APN with the following credentials:- Name:O2 MMS PREPAY APN: payandgo.o2.co.uk Proxy: http://payandgo.o2.co.uk Port: 9201 Username: payandgo Password: password Server: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002 MMSC: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002 MMS Proxy: 193.113.200.195 MMS Port: 8080 MCC: 234 MNC: 10 Authentication type : none APN Type: mms Once again Hit Menu & save. Re-boot your phone & hey presto - GPRS and MMS that works on an O2 Pay & Go sim. Tested & working on Orange San Fransisco/ZTE Bladein the UK Hope the above is of help. If you don't fancy typing all the info in just unzip the attached file to your SD card and use APN Backup & Restore to restore the above
Guest ollie84 Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 I used these settings and they worked, however when I sent a picture message to myself, it resized the image to something very pixelly, small and unrecognisable. Any thoughts?
