Guest dj9928 Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 This is my second blade and I can happily say I could fart louder, the audio boost did nothing for me, when up full I can hear all the noise around me with ease and thats with both Sennheiser and Sony in ear headphones, my iPhone at half volume is louder than the blade :D
Guest doozboo Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 2 Flibblesan, Fabulous job, mate. It works fine on my OSF JJ RLS9. The AudioBoost+PowerAMP combo is really nice, my C-Jays are pumped at last!
Guest DannyDanny Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 Rather than amplifying the volume (which distorts music).. I would suggest using an in-ear type phones... Boosting music to your ear, permanantly damages your ear anyway. So just think that OS has a good limiter for your ear safety lol (dont take this seriously) (or try phones with less ohm, those higher ohm headphones wont match with OS anyway)
Guest Smiff2 Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 people are still using this with Swedish Spring? (i guess so, since that hasn't changed much since JJ?) how about with Bluetooth.. is this fix still relevant?
Guest Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 (edited) Ok I've spent a few days with various audiofilters and I've found what seems to be the best combination so far. audio_boost.zip Download and flash through Clockwork recovery. Make a nandroid backup first so you can go back to the original files if you want to. The files are based on G7 r1v2 audio filters from XDA and I've added the headset & BT audio boost. On maximum volume with headphones I get no distortion at all. I can't set the volume any higher without introducing distortion so this will probably the best anybody can do. Through the speaker it's not too bad. Some very slight distortion at maximum volume but it certainly sounds a little louder than it used to. The volume level through headphones is definitely increased though. This pack wont work on my 2.3.3 Cyanogen ROM... The clockworkmod write: not supported EDIT: Ok, i checked the second and it's killed my touchscreen.. so i installed the kernel update (it's always on my phone :)) and the system is successfully loaded, but the music isn't louder or better... Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 This pack wont work on my 2.3.3 Cyanogen ROM... The clockworkmod write: not supported the package is written with amend scripting, which is not compatible with clockwork 3+ if you want to flash it, use 2.5.1.8.
Guest ManMetDeHamer Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 i know noone prolly cares but i just wanna give my 2 cents, i would save keep it at the current max to PROTECT YOUR EARS. Reason for this is my ears have been permanently damage due to loud music in clubs and parties, and i can tell you this it sucks big time....... I rly never tought it would be this bad, but it just gets realy realy realy annoying to not be able to have silence ever again.... there is always this constant beepin tone. This is why id say keep it at the current max, and even then dont use it at full power to protect your ears!

Guest jopololo Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Hello guys, I tried every mentioned method but all unsuccessful. I also tried another roms (SS RLS5, modaco r12 ) but sound is still crappy, thank you for any advice :)
Guest m1k33d Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 well, try to set equalizer in PowerAMP to preset "Phone Speaker"... it really helps...
Guest Psyloid Posted May 20, 2011 Report Posted May 20, 2011 (edited) I copied the three csv files to system/etc with root explorer (backed up the original file), then rebootet the phone, but i dont hear any difference. had to do it manually because i have clockwork 3+ is there anything i missed? help much appreciated :P edit: ROM = Cyanogen 7 nightly72 Edited May 20, 2011 by Psyloid
Guest ty_hot Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 having the same problem, cant even listen to anything unless its completly quiet outside (which woul mean i dont need any earphones lol)
Guest Psyloid Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 I can confirm that my manual installation DOES work on SwedishSpring 5 and does NOT WORK with cyanogenmod 7 N72 (dunno bout other releases) If you have clockwork recovery 3+ and cannot use the script use these instructions: -download the zip file here -unzip the file -in the folder system/etc there are three csv files, copy them to your sdcard -brows to them on your phone using root explorer (or similar) -copy the files -now browse to root/system/etc -paste the three files here -reboot phone -worked for me, in combination with poweramp i now have decent(ish) volumes :P

Should I just copy these 3 .csv files anyway? Is there anything else that needs to be done besides copying these 3 files? If all it takes is to copy those 3 files in /system/etc and reboot, than I can safely say that this solution is not working on my Blade with SSrls5. No change in sound volume at all. Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 how to find the folder system? i can find with astro! You need to have root privileges to access the /system/ folder. ASTRO does not have the capability to make use of Root privileges. You need to use a file explorer such as root explorer to do this.
Guest unrandomsam Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 esfileexplorer works and its free (you might have to do adb remount first)
Guest sumdumguy Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 i have an empty folder on the root called 'root', so i'm confused where to paste the files phoneroot: root/system/etc or phoneroot: system/etc ?
Guest DaveyP Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 Just /system/etc not from the empty folder named root Hope it helps :D
Guest sumdumguy Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 cheers, sadly it didn't make much difference.
Guest DaveyP Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 try it with rock player or power amp .. I'm sure it will help
Guest Conan Troutman Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 esfileexplorer works and its free (you might have to do adb remount first) doesn't work for me. when i wanna paste the files in the system/etc folder it asks me if i wanna overwrite the existing file then the file explorer crashes down (i'm forced to close it). i'm using the cyanogen 7.1.0 rco blade kang. any ideas? maybe a different file explorer? or do i have to do the adb remount? i'd just prefer not to cause therefore i'd have to install the android sdk plus java jdk - and that's a whola lotta megabytes on my already stuffed laptop hard disk.
Guest laserburn Posted June 17, 2011 Report Posted June 17, 2011 How come I'm the only one who doesn't have those 3 files in /system/etc? Could be ROM, but others here have used SSrls5 as well.
